  1. Maybe not, but my 32 did exactly the same thing when the o2 started to die. The idle would hunt around and would constantly go in and out of limp mode.
  2. Nice to see a girl with an r32.

    Welcome to the site.

  3. Sounds like idle control valve or o2 sensor.
  4. Yeah, you gotta watch the revs, missing a gear at high rpm can do some damage but they don't mind it if driven properly. As for fluids/filters, they're pretty much the same as any other car. They do like good oil though. Personally I think they're very reliable if looked after properly, only problem I have is rust, and thats only cause its an 89 model.
  5. Welcome to the forum mate. Anyways, I reckon 300's look better but the vg30 is plain shit-house, you could drop in an sr20 but your prolly looking at more than 9000 in that case. Parts wise , shouldn't be too hard but not as easy as a skyline. On the other hand, skylines are quicker off the bat, a lot easier to make decent power, a lot easier to work on and you could pick up a decent one for 7000 odd and still have change for some mods. As for daily driving they're a bit thirsty but relatively easy to drive depending on power, clutch etc. At the end of the day its purely up to you mate. Happy driving!! P.S Stay away from WoW, it is pure evil.
  6. Not trying to flame, but your original post states that your changing from det to de, but this post you state it originally had a de? How many times has the motor been changed? And if your a P - plater why buy a turbo car in the first place? Anyways, good luck with your project and IMO you should leave the box attached to the motor, pull out shifter with circlip removers or long nose pliers, remove tail shaft (4 bolts diff, 4 bolts at box and two I think for centre bearing), slide tailshaft out from diff side first then out of box, support the box with trolley jack, remove box mount then think about the rest. Theres a really good guide on here for r32 rb25det conversion, not exactly the same thing but should be helpful none the less, I think its by predator.
  7. Hi ppl, Need a set of 700-750cc injectors (side feed, preferably sard) for an rb25det series 2. Second hand is fine as long as not too many k's. Thanks.
  8. got one for 60 was recond and only done 5000kms. am in Sydney
  9. Desperately need the centre air vent assembly for the ac (sits in centre of dash above stereo etc.). Will pay immediately if anyone has one. Thanks all.
  10. 17 x 9" will be fat as with a bit of lip on the guards. As for style whatever you think looks good.
  11. noone done this conversion before? bump
  12. Hi all, Just completed rb25det conversion on my r32 and was wondering if i have to get engineered etc in order to register. Car has been out of rego for 5 months (needs blue slip and was registered previously with the rb20) and new motor is standard. Any help appreciated.
  13. 12.0 isnt perfect. different for every car. under full load 13 idle 14.7 is a good start.
  14. You can run m48 sequential with ign expander.
  15. Already have the motec with iex, i didnt mean ign timing, just reds air con etc. Sorry for the confusion
  16. Hi everyone, Just a quick one, am converting my r32 to rb25 w/motec & garrett gt3582. Should I leave the standard ecu (rb20) for ignition etc, or replace with rb25 or just motec by itself? Also what injectors good for 500hp? Thanks in advance.
