  1. That 34 GTR looks perfect! Good buy
  2. Have not been in the Sydney business lounge. Sucks that Qantas has not offerred me double status points yet as would easily be platinum now at half year.... (a work mate is lording his over my meagre gold). However will make Platinum maybe this year if not early next. What does the marble bathroom look like? haha
  3. Beautiful silver R32 GTR number plate GTR 1** on way from parra to airport @ 5.00pm or so - absolutely stunning car.
  4. Sitting in Sydney Qantas club chugging free beers - would have come to Garage meet but alas not home early enough.... no earlier flights.
  5. Can we have a quick role call of peps/cars so I can TRY to remember who I met? Lincoln - White R32 GTR
  6. Gunmetal r32 at Downer AMC at Auburn. D2 brakes, black rota's and a big single peeping through bonnet. Nice!
  7. Great idea and planning/ organising. Would love to come but cannot. Up for another time as I live that way and love those roads
  8. I believe we have filled our grad roles at the moment. However it will not hurt to fling a resume to [email protected]. We have a shit load of work to do in Port Hedland coming this Christmas. http://smtgroup.com/...stern-australia Then there is Rio and BHP expansions coming soon.
  9. We have found that the eng discipline is NOT as important as the type of person. The eng degree shows a ability to learn as well a interest in mechanical and electrical. We have found that country types or car types (who like taking apart/tinkering) generally are a better fit as the work is very hands on. There is a lot of travel though so a bloke who has a family with little other support will struggle. Machine building is the purest engineering IMO as there is no place for ego or hiding as the work you do either works or doesn't straight away. Pay is good for engineering but having said that no one gets into engineering for the money. They do it because the love it. I like going to work almost every day
  10. Lots of engineering/electrical types here huh? Good, will be looking for new recruits/graduates this year. I have worked here as automation/electrical design engineer for last 10 years. Expanding at a healthy rate 55 employees. I have a department to grow. www.andeng.com.au
  11. Nice to meet you all. Hope the drive is safe. Thanks for making me feel welcome even though I feel like the old man of the group. Good bunch of enthusiasts.... Probably a little crazy though
  12. Coming will be 1/2 hr. Still there?
  13. I will not be that early - will you update this thread where you all at as time goes?
  14. Cool M7 x 32 double hex in chrome.
  15. Oh the bolts do not have any markings on them..... however the bolts I have also bought (and gen ones from BBS) from Tunershop have also had no markings on them (even if they are only 8.8's that many of them would be more than fine).
  16. 136 bolts = $100. Pretty sure most powedercoat's can be melted at 200 deg C - so no problem even on Magnesium (they do have other problems with oxidation/time between stripping and coating). Paint them 2 pack? Which companies ordered from?
  17. Where you buying from? I have got a set of new chrome bolts spare as well as 17 x 2.5 in lips and 17 x 6.5 in barrells if needed. I am loving this at the moment for a dark car (not for me). A mate just got some stuff powdercoated with the name of colour "Black Onyx" it looks sooooooo good. Can find the brand of powder if you need. Show me what you are thinking.
  18. Another 32 would be good to see. Is this happening? I wont be there till late.
  19. BBS club represent! Might also need some slight gaurd rolling although wheels are the same offset as already on and they don't rub at the mo. However need to mod exhaust to run a little lower so will have to look again. Tracking new lips and outers/bolts from Germany at the moment. Quite oh my!

White R33, Black rims, SAU sticker on Sherbourne Rd Eltham
  21. Ok - next Friday.
  22. I would be looking for some cruising later friday night - (got dinner in the city). Eastern suburbs preferably. Up for anything.
  23. Slant lips
  24. Hahaha on the chromies comparison (you should wash your eyes out though). Although, strangely and unnervingly I can see your point. It only highlights to me that my taste was formed before y'all. Doesn't mean that either is correct just that CE28/CR Kai etc seem done to death to me! Bronze wheels are cool.... or once were. Panasport were my first choice, however in 17 (the only driver size wheel for this car) they look a little wrong.... also the fact the BBS were standard choice for the V Spec won me over.
  25. Geez tough crowd here on the BBS (calling them meshies disrespects!). Will post pics in a couple weeks when RS arrive
