  1. Todays job was to reinstall the weather shields. Ive noticed they have been sprayed with what i think is that tail light tinting spray. I will have to sand them back and reapply as the coverage is poor. When i ripped the rainguards off they had the old grey tape still on with a few sikaflex'd on with white sika flex (more of a sealing agent than a adhesive) and the other few had white double sided tape so both were very noticable. So i have removed 95% and taken back to the bare plastic. I then used a black adhesive sikaflex that will hold them better and hide the adhesive more. Just have to remove the tape after 3 hrs and wipe away any excess sika with grease & wax remover. 20161224_110116.thumb.jpeg.20062f0d478cc20161224_110121.thumb.jpeg.ee765768f29ba20161224_112406.thumb.jpeg.0e67e28ec234620161224_110543.thumb.jpeg.2bb3119a9c07f20161224_112345.thumb.jpeg.812221d37fca220161224_112358.thumb.jpeg.5836059932196

  2. With new carpet, washer bottle etc arriving yesterday from Victoria the stagea is almost back together. Still have some headunit wiring to sort out along with reinstalling the amps. Have a locksmith booked in for the 30th for reprogramming and diagnosis. 20161221_104057.thumb.jpeg.207e11d9f160d20161222_155504.thumb.jpeg.4e3dce908888d20161222_155526.thumb.jpeg.ea2141c78128f20161222_155537.thumb.jpeg.b6301eefa578a20161222_155549.thumb.jpeg.63cebea29bed820161222_155614.thumb.jpeg.51442d847acd4

  3. Installed the front pipe with new bolts and gasket as well as polished up the Nismo catback. Dash removed and wiring checked and pins reset ready for the parts arriving on Wednesday from Jason. Also removed the outsidereo that was on the Nismo rear bar for a cleaner look. 20161219_191824.thumb.jpeg.7182ac79d9ec2FB_IMG_1482141176859.thumb.jpeg.62cf1cba20161219_191837.thumb.jpeg.891d587d2b9c020161219_193856.thumb.jpeg.5a46bc50db12720161219_194255.thumb.jpeg.faf7e8f87d36f20161219_200124.thumb.jpeg.eff16636d5ac620161219_210909.thumb.jpeg.28cae71eee0e2

  4. I wonder if the PNM35/G35x trans would plug in to your loom. Might be a worthy swap as it has nicer changes and no external pump to worry about.

I will definitely look into that option. Need to remove the box to replace the output shaft speed sensor as its located in the spacer between the transfer case and valve body. (Need to remove both transfer case and spacer to get to it)20161218_104637.thumb.jpeg.73984d24d0201
  5. Very productive day today. I have a 16 flash AT error code which relates to the transmission speed sensor. I have sourced a spare gearbox where i have taken the valve body out of and swapped it into the m35. 20161217_133907.thumb.jpeg.4407024403a8e20161217_150943.thumb.jpeg.8c5c588bc42ea20161217_153641.thumb.jpeg.a4161fa52b42b20161217_153651.thumb.jpeg.df8bcb58dc05720161217_174749.thumb.jpeg.874126ff570a220161217_181208.thumb.jpeg.16165b75ad433

  6. Gee for a bit of bass, I'd be sweating all the time of getting a flat...
At least you could listen to awesome sound while you're waiting for the tow truck.
    Run flats ?

Yeah as i need to register this and do a road worthy im planning on putting tge spare back in and putting the amp on the under floor tray like i did my last car. That way i can have both. Picking up a spare gearbox today and will be swapping over the speed sensors as i have a 16 flash Check AT error code (Speed Sensors). Im not sure which one so ill swap out both.
  7. Been a busy night. Sub enclosure, false floor, amp box , amps & sub removed. Also removed the rear hatch screen and excess wiring not required. Looks alot cleaner now. Plan is to hide everything for a more cleaner look. 20161215_203648.jpeg20161215_204810.jpeg20161215_205753.jpeg20161215_210708.jpeg20161215_210746.jpeg20161215_211830.jpeg20161215_224204.jpeg20161215_225402.jpeg20161215_230940.jpeg20161215_230955.jpeg20161216_001701.jpeg20161216_001715.jpeg20161216_001723.jpeg

  8. I have made a harness and will be testing the ICU on Thursday. I have removed the carpet as its not in the best shape and tidying up the audio components as well to find why the food screen is not picking up the video input. . Engine hoses and bolts ahve been vhecked and tightened as there were a few that were loose. Next to get her started. I have located another ignition barrel and key to replace the faulty one along with other items such as carpet, radiator overflow tank, washer bottle and pumps, battery cover, interior bits to replace the speaker panels in roof whrn i tidy up and conceal the audio.

  9. Is she running yet ? , I see you got rego plates on it.
was it hard getting blue slip

That plate is there because i had to leave it on the street overnight. (Live in unit block and manager is a w#nker) so not rego yet. Still heaps to fix on it (driveshaft boots, lower ball joints, new hub bolts)

We have been able to locate the issue and will have the locksmith sort it. Appears to be a faulty ICU box (in ignition tunnel).20161210_172720.thumb.jpeg.fcee3b5ca31fb
  10. So today i got some time to clean up the stagea can check over.

    - battery compartment cleaned and bung removed
    - new battery terminals
    - new battery
    - stereo system power cable connected and tested (sounds amazing) roof and rear screen wiring needs to be checked
    - old redundant alarm/wiring removed
    - fluid levels checked (radiator missing overflow bottle) and needing to be bled
    - area around wiper arms cleaned up
    - bcm casing appears to be broken and with it throwing a bcm error code i can hear it the internal relay clicking not allowing car to start. (Another bcm sourced)
    - a photo for the size of the front tweeters. Never seen one this big.

  11. Great thread guys,
I'm In Brisbane and have an M35 ARX four with SVI Gas.  The only guy I've found who's willing to have a go at tuning both petrol and Gas is strongly recommending a UniChip.  Has anyone tried one? Any thoughts??
I mentioned that lots of M35 owners use adaptronic as a piggyback that local tuners can use.  He still thought UniChip would do a better job.   After reading about the complexity of the task, am I setting myself up for fail by going down the road of a unichip?
    Any thoughts appreciated.

Hey mate. Im also in brisbane. Good to see more m35s here.
  12. Welcome back. What plans have you got for this one?

1st thing is to get her running (currently not due to bcm). Then not sure from there. No where near what i did to the other one. I do like this design thoughFB_IMG_1480851040550.thumb.jpeg.1236cb80
  13. That integrated audio is crazy! I've never seen the speakers placed like that before. Was it done in Australia or did it come out like that?

The owner advised the the stereo was done in Japan prior to importing to Australia. Im picking the car up tomorrow night so will be able to go over it in more detail soon. Exciting times
