I'm thinking of buying a R34 GT-T and being on my P's I can't drive turbo. Recently buying back my old R34 wreck which is still in mint running condition, I want to do an engine and transmission/gearbox swap between the cars. I know it's going to be a ton of work but my desperation is growing in finding the right car that is P plate friendly. I know the GTT will also be plated as a turbo but I will sort out the formalities side. Can anyone give me feedback on engine/transmission swaps, do's & don't do's, tips and tricks and possible risks? I also have have a jack and jack stands, would that be sufficient to work with or would I need a hoist? Also if someone could find a engine & transmission swap tutorial for R34 Coupes would be highly appreciated. I couldn't find anything too specific using search.

I'm assuming once a location is disclosed, it would change and catch unsuspecting drivers

As for the R33 headlight grilles, supplier confirms no brackets are included but they say there is no problem on mounting it. I'm wrecking my one, but I'll be honest and the carpet would be almost the last thing I'd take out unless you can give me a good offer. no rips or anything, just minor holes like 1mm x 1mm in not so exposed areas.

I have a RB25DE Neo for sale. I've been told that the difference between the DE and DET is the pistons so you could pop your ones in my one PM if your interested. Located in 2165 NSW.

I've had no issues, but if driver side controls works fine up and down for passenger side, then it sounds like you have a problem with the wiring. Either you have done something recently to it and has cut or popped out a wire that runs the signal or it has, well cut or popped somehow. Where in Sydney are you from? I could take a look if your near 2165?

yeah i still do. Just they are shattered and can't be mounted but the internals could still be used to convert a non xenon to xenon look. No ballasts though

I think late 99 R34 would be going into Series 2. A major give away is the two tone steering wheel. And sometimes the factory body kit that the series 2 have. But with that being said, its also easy to change those parts and putting it in a series 1. The black one your looking at is a series 1 if I'm not mistaken. The silver buttons on the steering wheel is factory head unit volume control from what I've been told. They're useless if you don't have the factory head unit, but then its useless in aus anyway. I start fiddling with them when I'm bored in traffic I personally wouldn't get a series 2 because i don't like the two tone and dash look. Also I've seen quite few late 99 built between July to August so it must be sometime after then. Perhaps someone could use FAST and check the VIN? I got nissan fast but i don't know how to sus out which series it is.
