  1. well ive pulled shaft, removed fuse and released pressure in fluid. So I assume ecu knows pump is inoperable, hence 4wd light on, and does not, and cannot, try to turn pump on.

  2. Guys, my attesa pump has died, so in the meantime is it ok to drive it around indefinitely (until i can get a new pump) with the front shaft removed and either the 4wd fuse removed, and/or, the attesa pump removed ? From what ive read, should be fine, but if anyone sees a problem...

  3. Here you go, not tested in practice but taken from stagea service manual. Ive looked at the standard and xamani harnesses and all seems to correspond to the service manual. No illumination on xanavi, hence the 2 xtra wires on standard, will need to be wired up from other source. Get yourself a standard CC harness with as much wire length as possible, as the xanavi harness is up under the dash between the centre dash and steering column.

  4. update:

Replaced the actuator 6 months ago due to the relay clicking, new from nissan.

All fine until a month or so ago, clicking stated up again, but only on hot days and only after driving for more than approx 30min. And even then, doesnt always happen, maybe on 1/3 of long drives. The clicking occurs rapidly on accel and when snow button is pressed whilst idling. If I turn off/on engine for a few minutes it come good. This all matches the pattern i had before i replaced accuator. I would have thought if actuator went, it wouldnt be an intermittent problem, but always ? For those who fixed theirs with actuator, was it clicking at all times ?

Not keen to spend another $350 on a new actuator.

It appears heat related, possibly pump or electrical ? Any ideas. And yes, new fluid, bled many times from both nipples...

  5. thanks, GOODO is checking his S2 wreck for required parts, if he doesnt have everything will give you a pm. FAST lists different part #s for the climate control unit from S1, but others appear the same.(except for TV version)

If anyone with a XANAVI S2 is interested, im changing mine over to a 7" double din screen and standard CC unit from the XANAVI (AC buttons are starting to fail), sussed out the wiring diagrams for the 2, all correspond one to one, cant see any issues, just a lot of soldering.

  6. Had same problem on corners, did the constant 12v wiring mod, hasnt happened since. My theory is that the fuel pump was stalling internaly somehow under g load, related to the low voltage from the stock wiring setup.
