  1. 170 kw/ 410nm V 240kw/ 500nm. Neither is a slug, but the hemi is more fun for sure. A bit extra grunt is there for the taking too for small outlay.
  2. Mine is a 5.7 yes. It was also avail with a 4.7 in the earlier years. Model ran from 2005 through 2011. Known here as WH.
  3. Personally, as much as I like the thought of a Cayenne turbo, mentally I can't stomach paying silly money for what is becoming an old car done a hundred plus. Non turbo ones aren't as quick as my shitter jeep. Seriously though, the newly released Jeep is unbeatable value, and shares HEAPS with the yet to be released new ML Merc.
  4. Gally's thing have a lovely adjustable four link like a V8 Supercar in it made by my bud across the road. I'll discuss the pros and cons with him.
  5. The new diesel is an unknown quantity. I'm happy to discuss the pros and cons of each model, but Jeep Garage is likely a more appropriate forum
  6. ^^^^^ lol I have the just superseded one and it's great. Lots of one eyed folks here though lol Mine has cost me $68 in repairs in 80,000klm, runs low 14's on qtr, high 6's to 100, and the Hemi sounds great. Brand new ones are very very good value too, but there is a wait, people are realizing. Would buy another, but mine looks and feels new.
  7. Priced the extended warranties?
  8. No doubt about it.... 2nd week of every October brings them out of the woodwork.
  9. That didn't take you long to type out did it. I wish you all the very very best with it mate. We're all here for you, if you just wanna talk about things. 2012, would LOVE to be there in some capacity. I've not missed one since my first!
  10. Indeed. So, when is this rotor of yours going to be ready? And whom is planning on running the 2012 event?
  11. My concern with the 2nd hand Euro stuff is parts prices.
  12. No excuses for that. Period.
  13. Ya right..... looks ordinary. Makes the TRULY extraordinary things people do even more amazing to me! If it looks insane on camera. It is truly rooly insane!
  14. I hear you! 1:50 and 2:30. The first one was big. lol We had a dip. I think Timmy was looking forward to getting out for some lunch.
  15. It was a rancid pork chop by the end. lol Painting lines was only for speccy or camera points. A luxury you get with a RWD car (more fun! ).
  16. LOL, I can watch that thing of your launch all day..... wicked!
  17. I'm certain if you flush out the right folks it'll be just fine mate. Lots of us Nissan guys just throw hate at them because we don't like the thought of being carved up by 1.3 litre chook chasers
  18. Before I forget Blaise..... http://my105.com/listingdetails.aspx?id=5804&latest=1
  19. Good point Snowy. For me, I think it's Strahan (* best in the dry), with Sheffield close behind. I'm a fan of those gnarly stages, the ones where it's kind of like motorcrossing between corners. I get off on the transitions from left to right, all while the suspension is going from full compression to full droop. EDIT: Forgot to mention that Strahan also opens out at the end, with extended runs in 5th gear with some good sight lines and reward for some balls (not that I've ever really done any good on it, lots of room for improvement). A little confidence is added in these fast bits because if it were to go really pear-shaped, there's not many trees. You'll just hit the spoon drain and roll across the grasslands off into the sunset. haha Gosh, I want to go back!!!!!
  20. lol, did you also get the bit a couple of kays earlier coming into a tree'd section "f**kING slippery in here".... related to my friend and driver in 2006 throwing a rental off there in the rain. hahahaha I figured it mild mannered Timmy swore at me I'd really pay attention!
  21. haha, we'd actually done a mega-recce on that stage and had notes of the surface change from the left hander at the spectator point, with a call of "high grip from here". That it happened to coincide with us spotting Savman in his 33GTR a mere bonus
  22. Both AWESOME! Just for shit and giggles - Paloona. Turn it up and listen to that RB20 hahahaha
  23. Yeah went in a bit hot I guess.... still don't know what the noise was. haha Still, we only missed cleaning that stage my 4 seconds
  24. Cheers mate, don't forget Timmy sits beside me! I remember we were particularly proud of our afternoon following the fence incident, picked up massive time to again lead after only two stages. Paloona was one stage that sticks with me as pretty awesome, we had the bit between our teeth. The issue later in the event (day 4 midday or so) was our left rear shock completely seized up. The issue had actually reared it's head on the morning of Day 3, and we wasted heaps of time trying to find it. That made it quite hard to drive as you could imagine, and the problem was amplified in the rain. I've never driven through Hellyer Gorge so slowly, well, trying to drive fast but simply not being unable to generate any tyre grip or temperature, with a car that had a completed seized left rear. How we didn't crash was pure luck. The Rinadeena stage was no better, and it's 38klm long!
  25. Ummm, welcome to the forum! Are you claiming your "kill" of a pink 35 as some sort of feather in your cap? Our 32 GTS-t waxed the thing! lol Seriously though, have you ever considered re-arranging your interior, and facing the other way. It strikes me that the TT would actually look better if the front was the back, and the back the front. Could fix the understeer too?
