wouldnt that be an easy enough swap by taking it off my old rb25 and replacing it onto the 26? or are there more issues involved when changng the sump over?

thanks guys for all the responses and opinions on the topic, as a lot of you have said refurbing my engine would be the better option or buying another and building that up before doing a swap on the weekend. its probably been covered, but whats the go with a rb25/30? pros cons, how are they built, run an aftermarket ecu etc? again thanks for all the responses, has given me a new insight into my choices Aaron

cheers paul for the quick reply, ill have to talk this over with my mechanic to see if its viable etc. and yes the reason is for a newer engine with more power without me having to tamper with it too much and not being able to have a car off the road. but i guess an engine refresh wouldnt be that much more difficult. im still wonderng if anyone has done it tho (aka if looms need to be changed or etc to make them run?)

hey everyone, as above im wondering if anyone has done a swap between a rb25det and a rb26dett? my series 1 r33 is running out of life and is slowly giving up after 220,000+ kms, still runs fine but will need to be rebuilt/swapped and i might aswell put a gtr engine in there instead. so is it possible to do that and is it worth the hassle and $$$? ive been searching thru sau forums but havent been able to find anything relating to this topic. cheers aaron *hope i posted this in the correct thread*

couldnt you "theretically" take the lense apart anduse some wet and dry 800grit and sand them and give them a lick of clearcoat??? dont know if it would fix the problem but its worth a shot? if im wrong someone please correct me

wtb rb26dett, my old r33 is having a fair bit of wear ant tear and thinking of doing a swap so if anyone has a rb26 they may not need anymore in good condition with not many k's lemme know via pm or on 0422360999 whatever is easiest. not willing to spend too much so hit me up with what youve got cheers aaron

spotted some skylines at tafe this week, i think theres a silver r32 with a skylines australia sticker in the rhs quarter window. anyone on here?

if you wanted to you could flat the panel (with 2000 wet and dry - obviously wet) and just flat down the bootlid b4 polishing back up with a buffer, which could bring the colour back to a lighter shade??? but if the panel has been resprayed the wrong colour then it is impossible to make it look the same without going back to a crash shop and getting it re colourmatched so it will look correct. trying to paint the same colour as the factory is a lot harder than what some people beleive and most shops prefer the option of blending panels to make the colour matching easier just my 2c Aaron

hey guys need to clear the shed out, have interior trim, door cards, quarter cards, rear seats and front seats for a series one r33. rhs drivers seat has the usual wear and whatnot on the seat, the rest are in smick condition. have 2X drivers door cards i think from memory, one has a hole for a tweeter (same with lhs door trim from memory but can check) not needed anymore, take the lot for $ 80 ono (payed over 200 for everything sourcing it all) if u want individual bits pm me. series 1 r33 spoiler with brakelight, in black (kh3), good condition - $ 30 ono replica gtr wing r33 (fiberglass) will not fit endcaps and no i dont have any with the sale of this, has led brake light fitted - red in colour can check paint code if needed - good condition - no longer needed due to new spoiler - $150 ono r33 drivers side window glass, came out of a doner door for my car - not needed but not an issue if i dont sell - $25 ono. also have some 235/40/18 tyres with some camber wear, can be switched sides, still have roughly 50% rubber left where there is no camber wear. $ 50 for both? make an offer - i beleive their neutons but can check for you. also have 4X stock r33 rims, 2 with good tred 2 need replacing, just an eoi but if needed can sell at right price. pictures are available on request. - text me on 0422360999 or pm, whatever works best for you and ill get back to you asap. cheers - aaron.

saw ICULKN black stag on marion road today around the 4pm mark on south road/richmond road

3 and a half sounds quite cheap, but it also sounds like a window in job, and everything is taped up, i dont think and of the doorjams would be done either or the engine bay so u would still be stuck with the yellow paint being on the inside also. (not sure if they quoted to do the doorjams also but be careful) if your looking for a decent job, windows out and door jams done be prepared to pay around the 7-8 thousand mark as an approximate, this can include any dents u may have in the vehicle, this still wouldnt include the engine bay tho unless the engine is already out. all prices do vary from shop to shop so go around and see who offers what and see if u can work out a good deal by working of the shops to see who can do the best for you. hope this helps in your search for a new paint job (if u have any Q's feel free to pm me)

I agree with Hanaldo on this, makes the job much nicer. If the paint on the rims to begin with is alright, then u dont neeed to primer them then paint them as such, if u use a light grade scotchbrite and scuff the wheels up and give them a good coat of paint (2-3 layers) then that should be easily suffficient. havent had any problems with doing that (and thats been on the bodywork of my old skyline which lasted me a year with no issues what so ever) Just my 2 cents

also after a passenger side front seatbelt, as mine doesnt retract anymore.

may have been closer to 10am as i had to go to my grandparents place by 1030am to take em to the airport. the primer is a bit of a giveaway, but wont be liike that for too much longer thank god

im after a series 1 rhs headlight to suit a r33 gtst coupe. with working adjusters. also need a radiator (prefer a new one or refurbished one) to suit a r33 gtst series 1 radiator asap would help heaps but headlight not as important as it still works it just doesnt give me sufficient lighting. cheers - aaron

Glad to know im still being spotted down south, feel embarassed to drive my car around in such a condition. Were you in a white r31 by chance?
