  2. POPGUN, the Macquarie dictionary defines a popgun as; a childs toy gun from which a pellet is shot with a loud pop by compressed air. My exhaust takes care of the "pop" part, my maturity is also well described here and the rest I'm sure you can figure out for yourselves. I am curious to know how you all came up with the names you have and what they either mean to you, the car or the poor sod sitting next to you at the lights. Also let's get some opinions what are some of the best/worst plates you've seen? What is in a name? Rhys (POPGUN)
  3. Had a great day, pleasure to finally meet you guys and get to know some of you a little better. Can't wait for the next one where I'm sure we'll have just as much fun. Thanks for being so welcoming to both me and my brother we both appreciated it. Don't know if I'll have one of those seashanties again? Blurghh. see you all soon Rhys(POPGUN)
  4. Quite nice dude, and now the long wait begins, ahh I remember those few weeks between purchase and arrival, anticipation cental. Enjoy mate, it looks well worth the wait and I hope to see it rolling one day.
  5. my old work used to sell a permatex product called, "disc brake quiet." Didn't get my hands on it though. pva-haven't checked front pads yet, but changed rears a short while ago, spare is A-OK, checked regularly as well as all fluids etc.
  6. I wonder what it would look like with the stickers peeling off as he was travelling at a fast and furious pace down the freeway? Gymnastic streamers is my guess. Oh well whatever floats his boat I spose, or in this case whatever wrecks his rex. Not my cuppa tea though!:thumbdwn:
  7. I'll be there in my little black number. Look for me with the newbie training wheels, I'll see if I can coax Nightsky into coming aswell. See you all there. Rhys.
  8. sounds good, I'll find the cruise thread and see you there. Look out for the newbie kickin his tyres. Thanks ndr:)
  9. Dunno if this has been asked before but my brakes on the R32 sometimes develop a blood curdling squeal at low speed application. Anyone else get this problem, or more importantly, anyone know how to rectify it? It happens more intensely just after I've washed her and yes I wait for the brakes to cool down to avoid disc warping before giving her a tub. Smiling politely Rhys.
  10. hey mygtst, it took me a while to get up the nerve, dunno why? Bad news dude, all those hoses and fittings you wanted me to get for you, no can do mate, I am no longer working at the truck joint sorry. But my new career will prove far more lucrative for the little R32. Hope we'll catch up soon Rhys.
  11. I believe the quality of journalism for the 6:30pm slot on channels 7 and 9 is reflected by the fact that they seem to both run identical stories on identical nights. In addition to this, last night with both my legs broken and the remote out of reach I had no choice but to view a Today Tonight story on car theft, it was one big advertisement for quicktrak security. I think Today Tonight should think about changing their name to "Bright ideas" or maybe "Body by Jake". The media are generally jack's of all trades and experts on nothing.
  12. Why-o-why did my girlfriend choose to exit the womb on 3rd November? I'd love to putter around in my little R32 with you all but I'm afraid keeping my balls attached would be better for me in the long run. Yes, yes I know it sounds like she already has them in a jar but her father can also hit very hard I've been told, so I regret to inform you that I can't, sniff sniff, attend. (blows nose in a trumpet fashion) Have fun Rhys

I had a quiktrak fitted for 1650 or 1750 I can't remember exactly as it was a while ago, damn goldfish memory! But seriously though no problems, no nuisance call outs to the cops yet, touch wood, and a three point immobiliser. I can park it and forget it spose Murphy's law will bite me on the bum now but for the peace of mind man I thought it to be the best at the time.
  14. unfortunately my girlfriend was born on the 3rd of November and as the saying goes man, "Hell hath no fury...." but I will be there in spirit. Hey I should be free from now until the 3rd if there are any other crooze's that may happen. My brother has a kickass R31 coupe that is about 1/2 to 1 carlength quicker than me (bastard) and I'll let him know.
  15. **warning, warning, newbie newbie** Just worked up the courage for my 1st post/thread, have been a silent observer on SDU since oct 2001 and here on skylinesaustralia from the beginning. I met MyGtst earlier this year on my way home from my old job and caught up with Diabolik1 and 88silouette last Sunday on the R31 club cruise. I had a ball with all who went and look forward to meeting as many people as I can who also share the same passion for these remarkable automobiles as I do. I have owned a black R32 GTS-t since January with a few mods that won't be lonely for long! I don't know why I haven't posted untill now but this is definitely the first of many and I look forward to meeting as many of you and your cars as possible. see you all soon Rhys
