  1. Hi, I was just wanting to buy some broken r32 indicators. I just need the back plastic part as i smashed my front bar off and it has broken the indicator brackets off. I also need a standard front bar for cheap as a temporary till i get a new Vertex one. Not looking to pay much for these parts though. cheers, Daniel.
  2. Yeah he has been good to me so far.
  3. Nah you can't do that. If a car has never been registered in Australia before(well under the 15 year rule) the only way to do so is to get a engineers certificate to show that the car meets Australian Design Rules. An r32 will only meet these standards if you convert the drivers mirror from convex to flat, Install a child restraint (for the baby seat) in the parcell shelf, install new seatbelts and replace the tyres if they are worn too much. Once it meets these standards it will be issued with an adr plate and a certificate provide to take to transport. Hope this helps others and sorry to hyjack.
  4. That's fair enough tas180. Is there anyone else who can compliance a r32 under the 15yr rule. I only know of Gritthis, so if they are rude then i can go else where.
  5. I suppose everyone has bad days...That can = a bad mood. Its hard to keep everyone happy i suppose.
  6. Not sure on location yet, might be baskerville raceway.
  7. Yeah that is a little pricey...I just know his work is top notch quality wise.
  8. Hey guys, The guys over at fullLock.com are thinking of organising a drift day. Please go to this link to make it happen-even if you just want to watch. We have to make the most of this opportunity, because its rare for this to be organised for little old Tassie... http://www.fulllock.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=4410 Please contribute and it will go ahead!
  9. ok, now when you connect the wires a relay or somthing clicks really fast when accesories are on.....It sounds like its inside the little black box on the abs module.... Someone must have some idea??
  10. Hey there, After just emergency braking I couldn't work out why my abs equipt r32 locked up the wheels. After a quick check i noticed the resovoir(spelling?) was just under low so i topped it up. Now after a week later i've noticed that the prvious japanese owner has disconnected the wiring at the abs module, so i reconnected these wires. Now when you put the accesories on you can hear a sucking/surging noise. My questions are: 1: Will the abs automaticlly work? 2: why was it disconnected in the first place(for drift maybe)? 3: should i have an abs light on the dash and where?(the dash has been changed as the kms are wrong so could it be a non abs one?) Any answers apprciated. cheers, Daniel.
  11. If you guys have heard of chris tanner, you will know that he also does top work. I can't remember where he works though. He owns the blue hilux with the high power 2jz in it. It is going to be in the november issue of zoom. Howell Auto are good too as is autocraft but Gritthis auto. and chris tanner are the best with imports.
  12. If you have a look on the wall in the shed there is a photo of my mates s13(well there used to be) which got rammed against the shed(that's why the corner of the shed is ****ed) by a xa coupe with a 671 out the bonnet. The xa was at the end of the driveway practicing his launches when the accelerater got stuck. I think it nearly hit a gtir that was for sale. Good workshop though.
  13. Don't take your s13 silvia there or it might end up being attached to a xa coupe drag car.... :Bang: anyone know what i'm on about? :headspin:
  14. Did you used to live in Howrah by any chance Mr. En One, because there used to be a black r33gtr up the street from me?
  15. Did you buy the yellow gts-t because it got sold today. I'm mates with his brother. Should be reliable- i've never seen it on boost...
  16. get it checked by a mechanic - used car salesmen will say anything to close a deal. It could be an aftermarket blow off valve too possibly(if it has one).
  17. Just don't leave valuables in the car and have an alarm/immobiliser installed and you should be o.k here. What r33 do you drive in? There is a r33 at http://www.platinumcarclub.com/forum/ You'll have to seach for it though. There will be another one(black with chromies) in the trading post either this week or next. cheers.
  18. HSVSUX on calaisturbo.com.au should be able to enlighten you. he has tried the .83 and the 1.06? on his 400+ hp rb30. I remember him saying that the .83 came on boost that hard that it broke traction with any more than 1/4 throttle. He said the 1.06? was his favorite on the track because it came on more progressivly(spelling?) and was still responsive/predictable. I like the idea of spinning the wheels when boost hits, though!
  19. Sombody must know....please. :headspin:
  20. Hey Guys, Would anyone know if 19*8 wheels fit an r32 and with what tyres. The car has been lowered with hight adj. suspension so it can be lifted if needed. The specs are: 19*8, +45 offset(I think r32 offset is +38, so is +45 too much?) with 114.3*5 stud pattern which I searched for so I'm sure thats ok. Cheers.
  21. Hey Joel, My old vl turbo had the "gold glitter" problem too which was discovered when my oil pressure was tested and found to be very low(caused by faulty oil pump). Any way after a good 14 months after the new oil pump and many a thrashing its finally shat itself. I cant belive it took such a caining with no oil pressure, overheating and lots of revving....
  22. Its not on the invoice, mate. It might be on the website?
  23. You can get that from most airconditioning places as said but try and get the flexable tube with smaller metal ribs that are closer together, thus giving a really smooth radius.
  24. Hey everyone, Judging by the pic, how hard would this be to repair to a roadworthy state? Is it somthing best left to the pro's? The floor isn't bent though so this would make it a little easier. I thought I might be able to heat it up with an oxy and use a slide hammer but I haven't got the car yet so I don't know how thick a chassis rail is. Cheers.
