  1. The other drivers fault apparently.. Back on the subject of ford turbo 6's, a good friend of mine chucked the keys to his 05 bf f6 that he picked up yesterday great car
  2. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/man-killed-five-injured-in-horror-smash-at-woodville/story-e6frea6u-1226186837615
  3. If you want more inches, STROKE IT! (not a reference to engine capacity...)

  4. Yeah that was me in all 3 of my 35's j/k the only nissan action ive seen this weekend was getting elbow deep in bluebird at roo's place!
  5. Adrian feel free to drop by my place over the weekend and have a gander at my old mans 03 XR6T. He loves to talk about it and I myself can give you some valuable info regarding servicing, maintenance and clever mod strategy. Standard brake rotors have been known to warp as young as 20000km's old, the power windows give up after a while, there were re-calls for a water pump issue in some cars (an o-ring) and also standard issue tyres were also replaced free of charge when there was a deterioration issue discovered. Be aware of transmission related stuff (the early auto's are crap basically) and I do know a bloke that had his diff replaced for no reason. Dodgy trans service. Among all things, Ford simply cannot be trusted to tint windows.. At all. Personally I would steer clear of an 01 BA, AU falcons are marginally cheaper pretty much the same car/level of shitness.
  6. Sinergy motorsport also do defect removal. Although don't be bummed out if you dont pass first go. Personally i'd go for an inspection just to find out everything that needs repair/replacement.
  7. Just got back into adelaide. What a weekend!!
  8. I can actually smell shit through my phone right now. Is this thread gonna get locked anytime soon?
  9. Get off the keyboard and speak directly to those involved before you speak for their actions ben.
  10. Heed these words, the only gtr owner who has not once broken a road rule.
  11. My 93 build bnr32 std clutch lasted 10,000+ kays with power levels of around 240rwkw and my driving style. Daily driven, never launched. Never let go but was only a matter of time. Dont play with fire.
  12. Are you sure its not coming from the diff/rear of car. Could be spider gears
  13. Is it standard slave cylinder? If so i'd say the pedal adjustment is way out. Get it adjusted by a pro to the way you like your pedal feel before you do any(more) damage to your gearbox/flywheel
  14. Was the flywheel machined during the new install? The material on the clutch plate(s) needs to bond with the flywheel smoothly in early life. Any hard launch or general abuse will result in bad surface match, thus leaving nasty crap on the flywheel that will eat your clutch faster and progressively get worse In the first few hundred kays, baby the car off the line. Do a bunch of hill starts, without sliding the clutch at all. Find the balance of the clutch so that you can get off the line without using throttle input until fully disengaged. Drive like this habituously and you will pride yourself on footwork. WOT throttle is ok whilst not on the clutch. Any product worth its value will bite from the get go. My car performed full power runs on the chassis dyno with a 150km old clutch. Its simply how you make the clutch transfer the power whilst the car is stationary that will determine how long it will live. Have you ever tried to push a 1400 kg vehicle? Our drivetrains dont enjoy it any more than we do!! I found that my pedal feel changed overnight (about 700 km in) and am really happy with it. Except one time when someone stole my car in broad daylight, drove it 50 metres, then brought it back...
  15. No reason not to go then hey Surprisingly I had the same kinda situation at main north nissan. Mainly due to dealing with the young bloke there, he was very helpful
  16. I would say coils adrian, they've always been a weakness of holden's. Speak to Mark at K&A auto next to castle plaza, tell them sam who used to work there sent you. They've dealt with any problem you can throw at them.
  17. SAU:SA club members recieve 10% discount at blackwood tyrepower.. That includes alignments etc.
  18. Overall health of the motor? Pressure drop, dependant on the size of your ic? Saturation? If you're not happy with the result these would be some factors i'd consider. Personally I reckon thats a respectable outright power figure, it is a fair whack of boost but after all it is only a 2.5 litre.
  19. You'll love it ben. Try some hill starts in both forward gears and reverse. My pedal feel changed overnight about the 700 km mark.
