Well your uni life is 10 times easier by not going to F*CKING RMIT IN THE CITY!!! THE SHITTEST UNI TO EVER GRACE THE FAIR LAND OF MELBOURNE!! ahhh..... So yeah. ... I'm doing Bachelor of Design (Multimedia Systems) - Sounds swanky, it's shit. Basically i'm just using this post as an outlet for my uni frustration so i better bring it back on topic. As GTR-R34 said, grab yourself some friends if u don't already know anyone in the course. I was lucky/unlucky in a way in that i started my course with 2 guys from school who i'd been friends with for yonks. But doing a computer type course, trying to socialise with ppl is hard. Can't seem to find the time to leave their computers!!! Anyways, Melbourne def has more of a "campus" feel than RMIT institute for the retards. So i think socially you shouldn't have anything to worry about at Melb. And like the other said, don't worry about the work. Nothing compared to yr 12. Oh.. also, this is uni so if one of your tutors/lecturers/whatever is shit, tell them they are shit. You're not going to get a detention. Half my people couldn't a) speak english B) teach c) both. It's very satisfying to tell teacher-type people exactly what you think about their inability to teach So far for me, uni hasn't been anything special, and really, no great difference from school. And i guess i'm one of the few who won't look back on it as the "greatest time of their life" cheers. EDIT: I'm waiting for Smallville to d/l so i thought i'd make that post hella long. Oh.. and Kristin Kruek is HOT!!

www.upimports.com.au - give that one a burl. Don't know about the Gene Cook one.

TV2 = Bayside Blue (R34 GTR colour)
-
U mean 33 GTR Kit, or 34 GTR Kit, i'd be very interested if u meant 34... cheers.
-
hey rigga, could your mate do a TV2 respray? cheers

Do you think R34's would sell in Australia?
SS8_Gohan replied to gekisouzoku's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i better bloody hope not! $30k for compliance is tad steep!! I was just referring to the compliance cost chaos, eg, 33's under the old scheme were about $2.5K for compliance. So i was just trying to see what the cost of 34 compliancing would be, any ideas for those here who have workshops, or connected with the industry? cheers. -

Evo 6's look mint i reckon... but just my opinion... anywho... how much are you guys planning on charging for compliance for R34 GT-T's? I'm looking to start the whole process at the end of Feb. Do u think there will be a few workshops ready by then? cheers. -
i'm almost 100% sure the GT-X badge is a home job because i've also seen GT-T badges in the GT-R arrangment. The red letter always seems to be done very dodgely - here's an example of GT-T (GTR) badge - no thanks.... if the they got the silver/chrome surround of the Red letter right, it might be ok, and the red it too...... red I think the GTR red is slightly darker. Looks like a T i would make back in MatTech at school!!

hmmmm gonna have to rock up in me dad's BMW E50? 530i, sounds like that should do the trick But don't like my chances of letting me drive it tho!! > - Oh well, might rock up with him in the car, and play the old daddy is going to be me a car line! Now, gotta find a place that actually has them! R34GTT-R - You're car sounds nuts, and thank you very much for the offer but twin plate clutch and modified.... Might be a bit beyond me at this stage. And BMT is a loooonnnngg way from my place, as far as i know. But hey, if we happen to be on the same cruise or something, i might take you up on the offer. I currently drive a 57kw front-wheel drive Pulsar So i'm slightly hesitant to take "someone elses" modified, twin plated R34 GT-T for a spin! Might just try and find me a stock as a rock at a yard somewhere. But thanks again for the offer, really appreciate it. cheers. You think bringing my ing savings maximiser statement along would help? I called it "Skyline Saver" - EDIT: That's 57kw's at the FLY!! yeeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaa

yeah dave you were right. Series 2 R34's got different LSD's. From viscous to helical, or the other way around, i can't remember. But it def changed between the two types of LSD's.

i reckon, if you give these guys a call, and there aren't any problems (my prob was cos i worked at ANZ) don't worry about S15's or R34's - Either go 'R' or S8 RX-7 - THE sexiest car on the road bar none! Imagine one of those lowered with 18's! :drooling: Talking, 1999 cars, or newer, and mid to high $30K's - tasty!!
-
AH HA!!! Got u there too! UNLIMITED MODS, AS LONG AS IT"S STREET LEGAL :D and........ no increase in insurance costs!!! :D
-
oh, should have mentioned, car can't be over 8 years old. As much as i know about them, that's the catch! That's why i said R34 or R33 VSpec.... ooo oooo, or .............. now you can't disagree with this next one.... ........ ready.. ...... Series 8 RX-7!!!!!!!! Mid $30K's now, about the only good thing to come from SEVS. PURE SEX!!!!!
-
well the catch is that you have to finance the whole car running costs with them. They budget out what you think u'll spend for the whole year, than divide it by 12 or 52, i forget. So with some things you are paying before you normally would, say your tyre allowance, but other things like insurance, have been chopped up nicely for u so u don't have to pay in one big chunk. U get a shell petrol card with a discount, and i think can only go to shell. But in the end, throwing all ur running costs together makes it cheaper overall. www.prosperion.com.au - i've gotta give em a call again, just to double check on everything, cos it's starting to look like R34 GT-T time again, 99% sure.
-
that's right, i heard about that accident a little while ago. Is she all back to normal yet? stronger than before? how much would one of those gull wing conversion cost? they do luck f*cking nuts, i like it!
-
ok, too many big mechanic type words - so what's the idea behind doing all this, performance wise?
-
dude, i'm going to solve alllllll your problems. If you want to spend $45K, get a R33 GTR VSpec and look yourself up a company called 'Prosperion' - When i was 19 a few months ago insurance would cost me $1600 p/a. I'm 20 now, but it's still the same. Full Comp. They are more than just insurance but as long as you've got a job that isn't at ANZ (which is my prob, but i'm getting around that) you can get an f*cking car you want!!! No more of this mini madness!! I can get ur ass in an E36 M3 if ya want to! Don't spend $45K. Get a R34 GT-T, you can get those for less than $30K now imported, like $27-28K - Cheap insurance, newish car and step to the almighty R later!! ooh yeah, duff man!!
-
nah, this was a 20th bday i thought it was a bit of stretch to think you were meant to be there for the same bday yes nathan, lots of blondes. probably the exception is if ur NOT blonde . Well we're usually there on a Thursday nite, sometimes sat if you're looking to come doon.
-
heya just wondering if anyone knew of a place where a 20yr old could go test drive a R34 GT-T? Should i even bother trying? Or am i just going to be knocked back anywhere i go? I have a feeling that no-one is going to let a P plater get behind the wheel of one, so just seeing if anyone knew of somewhere that i could? This isn't just a joy ride either, i'm 95% sure i'll start the whole importing process at the end of Feb, cos i'm going to be away for that month. So i want to see if the car is everything i think it is. cheers.
-
So what is the car in question if you don't mind me asking? Miss the 34 at all?
-
birthday hey? I was there for a bday too, and a going away sorta thing. Wasn't meant to be there for Jodie Lang's bday were ya?? It was packed, so i thought it was a pretty good nite, wasn't drinking tho, driving. the R33 had i think GTR front bar and after market grille, not the GTR one but one that like fills it up more. I think it's a Top Secret one? Had a GTR rear wing, looked really good, the white Enkei rims really finished it off nicely. Yeah chicks there a def hot, but you're smack bang in the middle of brighton, what would you expect? It's my mates theory of hot chicks. Rich guys hook up with hot women, and as a result the kids are hot too. And you don't get much more money than churchy in brighton.

oookkkkkkk been living under a rock. This is the first i've heard about any of this. I was wondering why on Triple M they were talking about bouncers? Guess i know why now... wonder what the 'hairy backed sheila' has got to say about this one? she did threaten him and all... sad day indeed....
-
so what's the main idea behind installing a bleed valve??
-
begin the relevant Star Wars quotes!! [Vader]Impressive.......... Most impressive...[/Vader] as a Star Wars nut myself, i reckon that car is absolutely tops!!! I'd drive around it anyday!! Gotta take pride in the things that you like.
