  1. The ones you buy in Chinatown are BOOTLEG. They look like shit and have nonsensical subtitles. The only official ones in Australia have the MADMAN logo on them, and only the first six episodes are out so far. So buy these if you want decent picture quality, and think the creators should get the money they deserve.
  2. I might as well use this topic... I've just finished editing my version of the day's proceedings, just under seven minutes. It's an MPEG1 file, so it should run on any computer. I'll be handing out CD's at the Initial Drift event this Wednesday at Eastern Creek, and after that, I suppose I'll get a few copies to people who can then get them out to the rest of you.
  3. If anyone knows the fella who backed his R31 into the wall on the weekend, could you ask him if he minds me including his crash on the video of the event I'm currently editing, and if not, I'd be happy to supply him with a copy!
  4. As would I. Top day, thanks to Fatz and Aaron McGill for organising it. It was great were able to get five cars out on the track all at once towards the end of the day, so everyone got enough track time to do their sideways thang. Put me down for the next one too! EDIT: ...and I found it's possible to drift a 180SX even with stock suspension and stock differential, so no more excuses from anyone.
  5. Ooh...Rei-chan wa kawaii desu ne. Hontou ni. Nihon no omanko wa dou deshita ka?
  6. I saw that - it was parked at the top of the hill near the bus stop, all locked up with no-one around. Thought it was a bit odd...
  7. Mr fatz, would it be possible for you to create a "yes, these people are confirmed" list, just for the paranoid among us? If you don't want to post it publicly, a group PM perhaps?
  8. Stock S13 four stud rims w/tyres in SYDNEY. Good condition, no gutter gashes on the edge of the rims. Two have a small scrape on the faces, but otherwise OK. Simex 205/60's with 6mm tread front pair, 5mm tread rear pair. Delivery free anywhere in Sydney, meaning I'll chuck them in the car and drive them over to you after work. Will not split up. Not willing to ship outside Sydney, sorry. Pickup can be arranged if wanted. PICTURES HERE $200 firm. PM if interested.
  9. Maybe he had the trusty Nokia calculator out as they were pulling up to the lights... Nokia Stopwatch...poor man's G-Tech!
  10. Well I'm not in Japan right now, but I've seen it. Shutokou Trial is basically about a bloke trying to become the king of streetracers, but is haunted by the fatal crash of his best mate, which he feels guilty for etc... The story kinda (very) boring, but the freeway action is of cool, and it's fun to see an R33 GTR drifting around mountain roads, and on the track. You might be able to find a legitimate VCD release of it somewhere here...Chinatown maybe.
  11. As long as there's plenty of track time, I'll turn up and pay whatever. Food and videos would be great as well. That last event at Eastern Creek has convinced me that drifting's the way to go, so I'll be in for it. Drifting. :aroused:
  12. OK, here's a little video of Saturday's proceedings. Unfortunately, it contains no Skylines drifting, and no images of the figure-eight track, just the skidpan. Hey, I was busy! LINK REMOVED - Right click > save as It's in DivX 5.05 codec, 360x288, 4MB It's also on an Angelfire account, so it might die if too many people d/l it - if it does, just try it later. EDIT: Sorry, Angelfire killed my account. D'oh!
  13. Mr Fatz, please put me down as a keen bean - I was at Eastern Creek on Saturday in the purple 180SX.
  14. Thanks a lot to the organisers of the event. I'd just been to a track day at Wakefield on the previous Monday, and the drift event was about five times as fun. I was there in the (filthy) purple 180SX with R32 wheels and, like everyone else there, learned a hell of a lot in a very short time. It was also good to see blokes like fatz doing it so damn well. My favourite was definately the figure-eight witches hat setup on the skidpan. Handbraking around the middle, holding it, then flicking it back the other way was fun fun fun. More!
  15. Hey GTR-80Y, it's your school-buddy, can you vouch for me? I'll fill one of those spaces if that's OK!
