  1. Front wheel drive f1....when do do you live...1870???? Clossing my eyes....imagining....I'm seeing...lotus Elise. Don't go with a mr2. The Elise is a much better car all-round
  2. Been getting the same results . Vpower has done wonders. Better fuel economy, more responsive and less detonation Bp is also the bees knees. No critisms of it either. Edit: Actually, after reading the remaining post, i believe it Just depends on your tune. Mine was with Vpower so go figure I get the best result with shell.
  3. If anyone wants to do a road trip up from newe one Thursday I would be keen. Maybe not tomorrow night (I'm out central west nsw working atm). But defiantly next week. I'd be keen. Pm me or reply.
  4. Free bump Great looking car. Wish the last owner of mine kept it in as good condition as you have yours.
  5. 99% of the aftermarket cf bonnets are illegal. There is one Australian company that has met the ADR requirements... Can't remember the name unfortunatly...sorry!!! Insurance will not cover them. You may also be liable if the bonnet causes personal injury. Eg hit a pedestrian However, as they do look fantastic <<<<<see avatar...just make sure you have the original in case you get caught.
  6. Just spotted a purple r33 in the carpark at west's mayfield, a silver r32 gtr with a n1 front bar at the mobil/quix on maitland road and a black r32 gtr turning on to university drive from Maud street. I was in my red commanfail yoot.
  7. Welcome!
  8. There is a reason why some newer cars are rare.... ....and its not cause they haven't made many yet!!!!
  9. the whole of stockton dunes is a dunny buggy track..sortoff...if you dont mind been limited to 40kph
  10. ^^^now that's a rant. Besides my preference for ringwood, I do believe the track should be somewhere outside of Sydney. Somewhere that isn't in close proximity to an already established track that is open to the public.
  11. Bad news , but Bathurst doesn't need another circuilt. Put the money towrds Ringwood instead.... ...my opinion maybe a bit bias on that particular issue.
  12. If your feeling handy: Analogue Compression tester at supercheap auto =~$50 bucks. There are instructions somewhere on this forum on how to do the test. Otherwise, when your mechanic looks over the car, request a compression test - should take ~15-30mins. Should only cost the labour time.
  13. WA car: As this is a vspec (check the vins to confirm this) this would account for the some of the price difference. An engine compression test is a must. I would also get a paint thickness test done to check for accident history and to ensure it is an orginal midnight purple (also attracts a slight premium). Vic car: I would be flying over to look at this or at the very least getting an idependent mechanic to look it over. Again compression test, paint thickness test and vins check are a must. Both cars have nismo aftermarket dashes, so the advertised km's are probally dodgey. I would be looking for edvidence of the 100,000km service (e.g. timing belt) on both cars - if not, get it done asap on purchase. The wa car has been in australia a while, so recent service history is documented which is also a bonus. It will cost ~$1000+ to transport the car over to perth, but will be pretty easy (no pits required by memory) and cheap to get the rego changed over. IMHO i would be leaning towards the WA car, just for convinience. However, both cars look good, but i would be pricing the actually cost of buying the interstate car (e.g. transport, flight, mechanics, rego etc) before making a deceision.
  14. You dont need the space for cubic inches to make something poweful and dirty...we are a skyline forum after all...see attached. It sucks there thinking of doing this. The maximum bang for your buck perfomance cars are becoming a dying bread.
  15. ROFL. Seriously I have tears in my eyes. Sorry to bring this topic back to the top. After reading this and some of this guys other post i beleive he is dead serious. I hope everyone reads this and laughs as hard as I did.
  16. I'm sure that was the thing you were most worried about Still, i'm glad you got it back in virtually 1 piece. I hate car theives. I hope they all have a slow painful death. Its a confort knowing that theres a special spot in hell reserved for them along with all the child molesters, rapists and serial killers.
  17. I have the exact same problem in my 34. I have to take the ac fuse out when the car is off otherwise the battery dies. I was going to get an auto sparki to have a look at it but If you find a solution let me know.
  18. ^^^love the plywood and ducktape. I have an odyssey LB1200 in mine, but will be replacing very shortly (the LB is dead) with an odyssey PC925 or PC1200. I beleive they both fit. I also have a bracket over the top of the battery holding it in place. Not sure if thats standard but if i get time i'll snap some pics after work.
  19. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi09_rev4.pdf ^^^rta guidlines for wheel's and rims.
  20. Spotted a black r33 gtr going past newe uni yesturday about 5:20pm.
  21. Its good news, probally not that good.
  22. Sounds like the clutch is gone
  23. ahh...not working...lol Not totally sure of the root cause yet to be honest. But the last owner's tuner assured me it was either the transfer box clutch or the high pressure oil pump that controls the clutch. Aparently it was imported in 2006 with the problem. I'll be getting my mechanic to look over it once my daily arrives. In hinesite, i probally should have checked it out more throughly when i bought it. However i got a good deal on the car and will still be a good deal even if i have to replace the whole drive train (hopefully it wont come to that lol) Either way, it made hitting boost in the wet interesting until i replaced the bald rear tyres(not from me!!! )
