  1. Forgive my ignorance - but what are the immediate benefits from having a Greddy plenum like this? free bump!
  2. Money transferred and entry form emailed. Oh god no turning back now!
  3. update on spots taken/available spots?! put me down, money to transfer by COB 29/4/2011...
  4. Thanks moodles. Do I need to be concerned that the coolant is going 100+ for a while when the car is off??
  5. Was out on a brief drive this afternoon to log some data via my consult cable using ecu-talk. I do this every week or so in different weather conditions to check for problems. I had driven for about 40 minutes when I pulled into a service station to refuel. A look at the data at this point (while the turbo timer kicked in) showed me everything was fine, with temps not getting above 85 deg C. After refueling and paying the petrol man (a total of about 5 minutes), I started the car again and quickly noticed the ecu-talk Water Temp gauge flashing, indicating the temp had exceeded the set value of I think 95 deg C. Very interesting I thought because as I was looking at the ecu-talk gauge, it was indicating 92 degrees but dropping very quickly i.e. within seconds. So I drove down the road to my house and got all the data in to Excel. This is what I discovered: At the point of turning off the car, temp was 85 deg C ~5 mins later upon restarting the car, the temp was indicated as102 A fraction of a second later it was 101 A fraction of a second later it was 100 and so on until 5 to 10 seconds later it was low 90s A minute later is 90 As I started moving it dropped below 90 and once up to 70kph it dropped very quickly to below 80. Can anyone explain this? Any guidance appreciated. Cheers
  6. Hello Edit: I've just answered my own question by actually reading the original post...sorry!
  7. Who is running this track day?
  8. I just attended one of these on 7/4/2011. Definitely lots to like about getting down to Wakefield during the week so start booking your annual leave! If anyone wants any more info, feel free to PM me.
  9. I don't understand why I can't install this MBC right next to where the stock boost solenoid is, which is very easy to access. Can someone please explain to me?!
  10. Is anyone else going to this? I'm locked in and quite excited. Hopefully the GTR survives!
  11. Also interested in a response to this question...Shogun did you have any luck?
  12. "please replace timing belt every 100,000kms" - now that I can live with! Incidentally I just had a gates racing timing belt kit and N1 waterpump fitted. And then drove around in the pissing down rain all day today. Yew!
  13. Was there. Did a few laps. Weather was shite. Scraped my front spoiler in the car park. Saw 1 other 32 gtr (silver) so was all worth it! Although the gf complained of getting drops of water on her feet thru the firewall. Yes!
  14. Found this on an air box that I'm told came out of my R32 GTR...
  15. I'll be there. I've been having family picnics in this neck of the woods for 25 years and enjoying the roads round the area for 10+ years. Was the issue of park fees resolved?
  16. I'm a bit slow...are you saying this is expensive?
  17. Sweet as Bozman1. I inquired by email a few days ago for myself and one other to attend this day on 7 April but haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully there's still spots!
  18. I was standing as a spectator watching this 300zx come out of pit lane on to the end of the straight, light the tyres and perform a solid fishtail, before setting up for the first major turn (excuse my vague terminology, it was my first time at Wakefield and I'm unfamiliar with the track lay out). This would have been at about 1230pm during another passenger session. I remember thinking "wow that thing's a beast....should he be drifting??" I'm wondering if brake failure can be determined as fact or if driver error/silly business is behind this. Which club does this 300zx driver belong to? As a proud new member of SAU NSW I am absolutely delighted to see this level of comaraderie and support for a fellow member. Although I didn't get to introduce myself to anyone on Saturday (as all were rather busy on the tools, or organising car cameras, or running the event) I will be at coming events and on the track soon enough!
  19. Has anyone done one of these before? I'm thinking it is a very wise option for me to familiarise myself with Wakefield and track techniques generally.
  20. Righteo then! My new 32 GTR will hopefully survive the journey...
