  1. The Toyota Car Club of Victoria ran its first Classic Japan day not too long ago and was a big success. Entries were limited to classic vehicles, however there are big plans for next years event which will welcome modern jap aswell as other various forms of JDM supporters (classic motorbikes, apparel etc). Not trying to put a downer on this possible event at all but there wil definantly be atleast one big JDM Japan show'n'shine on next year. Just thought i would lewt you guys know!

  3. Paid for one of the window rubbers and got sent the wrong side, contacted ATLRGE back and he said to keep it and will send the other one the next day express. That was over a week ago, have been constantly trying to contact him but no replys. BUYERS BEWARE!

Bought this new fuel pump kit for my 180 from sleeka spares but found out afterward the original cradle and tank has been modified for a bosch 040 pump, so i'm going to stick with that and sell this one (alternatively will swap for a brand new 040 pump). They are a direct swap for the original fuel pump in most nissans. Packaging plastic was cracked when it came in the post hence the duct-tape, otherwise brand new un-opened. I paid $160 for it a couple of days ago. Willing to let it go for $120 including postage. Located eastern suburbs Melbourne.

  8. Anyone used this kind of catch can? I cant seem to find any info on it. I beleive there are a few slots in the top pipe (pcv to turbo inlet) that allows the oil to drop back down into the bottom of the can; but my concern is that under boost when the pcv valve opens the pressure would be high enough to bypass the slots and go straight into the intake of the turbo. Does this sound right? There is no type of baffling through the top type, just straight through. When i undo the turbo end of the rubber pipe and slide my finger down it, it comes out coated in oil but must be minimal as the oil on the dipstick has never really dropped.

Hey guys, The oil dipstick tube in my 32GTR is weeping at the base where it meets the block and also weeping from the top because it has been crimped into a square for some reason by one of the previous owners. Is the tube easily removed and replaced? Can it just be pried out from the bottom and the new one aligned and tapped in (with a block of wood or something at the top to stop it damaging it)? Anyone know if they can be bought new and/or have one they are willing to palm off? Cheers.

  11. Cheers for the info, the car was only tuned about a fortnight ago by a very well know tuner and was a safe tune, so i wouldnt think it's detonating. Proper oil pressure gauge is the next thing on the list to get. On the way to work today on idle (car was at normal operating temp) the gauge showed the oil pressure needle go all the way down to a bees dick above zero, however knock stayed normal 30. But as everyone's said this may not be an accurate reading.
  12. Bump! Driving around in my car tonight after half an hour or so of freeway driving, i gave it a squirt through first, second and third gear at some lights and continued about another 200m slowly stopping to do a u-turn, when i stopped and waited for the traffic to clear on idle i noticed that my oil pressure gauge (stock one) went all the way down close to zero, so i looked at my pfc controller and the knock reading was around 101. I quickly turned off the engine and then turned it back on to see if it built up pressure to which it did and then i crawled it into the nearest servo to have a look over the engine... everything seemed to be fine. It's a 32 gtr with n1 oil pump, built engine ect. but no oil restrictors and stock sump. I always overfill the oil atleast 0.5L and used good quality oil. This has happened only once before where i did a similar thing, gave it a squirt , came to a stop and had the same symptoms. The oil pressure always seems to be fine and again was fine on the way back home after i left the servo, sitting on 4 at low revs on the freeway and higher when accelerating, the knock reading didnt go over 32 on the controller either. Reading through this thread obviously the stock gauge is reknown for playing up but the fact the knock reading went up so high aswell is what concerns me. This has only happened twice in about 2-3 months of driving (daily and occasionaly giving it some stick). I know of the oiling problems where all the oil rushes to the head, but i always thought this was only a problem for sustained periods of high rpm and cornering (circuit racing, drifting ect); surely this wouldnt be happening from such a short period of time between the three gears? Any ideas? Could the oil pump be on its way out? /life story.

  14. Is running at 17psi max and hits that at 4500rpm, could be much better but the actuators are piss weak (only about 8psi) which is why the power becomes a little wavey around the top of the graph aswell. Overall im stoked with it tho, 200kw at 4000rpm is a great result in my eyes.

  16. Hmmm interesting. So what happens when it has "climbed" all the oil out of the box? You have to keep refilling it all the time? Sounds shifty, im still running the oil previously mentioned and have had not 1 drip come out of the breather that i can see.
  17. Just last weekend i make 311kw on my 32gtr. -7 turbos, tomei cams, supposed head porting, turbo back exhaust, 750cc injectors, fuel pump, pfc. I bought brand new z32 afm's, messed around getting them all fitted up nicely; when it came to getting tuned the tuner basically said we were reaching only maybe 20% of the z32's efficiency and had bigger jumps in voltage vs trim than the original so much harder to get a steady afr. Ended up swapping back to the original afm's and instantly became better to tune (smaller voltage steps meant more refinablilty) and still have 0.5v to spare. Spools up quickly and pulls harder that a professional thaiwanese girl

  19. Just confirming RB30 centres are NOT the same, it physically fits but is too short and sits outside the shroud.
