  1. I'm aware of that, I didn't feel the need to go into so much detail so cool. FYI I've had alot of setups, and I've found BC to be at the top in terms of bang for buck, unless your going all out with Teins for example (i.e flex/mono flex) I'd be getting some BC's. f**k, even my shitty G4's overshadowed my Tein superstreets ... what, so I can do something like this? The car is stock man, I'm not expecting miracles from it, I'll get there though. It's all fun at the end of the day .
  2. Ok, so what I see from your pointless reply is that you want to be spoon fed. Good luck to you...
  3. WTF is this shit? Sidius, if you haven't found the answer you are looking for, get practical! start measuring your clearances ... work off the stock wheel to see what you can do in terms of width and offset. http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp Done, now stop wasting your time trolling on the forum and find the answer out for yourself.
  4. I had 10/8 in the MX-5 ... considering the stag is almost double the weight, I reckon it'll be nice and firm, but not rattle your teeth out shit.
  5. BC BR with 10/8 spring rates.
  6. So, this weekend was packed. I went to Ryda to sort out my headunit/speaker issues. I opted for a new model Poineer headunit with iPhone connectivity and some 3 way splits ... all for under $350. Then we had a gathering at my joint until Twilight drift. I'm starting to get used to the car now, and I can see what needs improvements ... the shitty 195's have got to go! Check out this vid that Tiksie made, great job man http://vimeo.com/21546249 So, this week should be pretty big. My coilovers should be here which means the Stagea will be riding nice on low on some fresh wheels. Hopefully I can get the seat rails and other little bits sorted too! On another note, it looks like the MX-5 is going to a new home very soon.
  7. yeah he is, I did the guards myself ... I used to do a guard rolling service. Fitted a hardpipe tonight, not sure if want.
  8. What might I be doing here? I borrowed Fix Me Garage's guard roller to get my shit sorted before the coilovers arrived ... I hate these rollers! take forever to setup  Only managed to get the fronts done today until my back said no more ... I'll sort the rears out tomorrow. Oh, I got a phone call today from Ryda, they were letting me know that the JVC headunit I ordered wasn't in stock ... thanks for letting me know 4 days after the order was placed. So I'm going for some poineer gear instead. I recieved a hard intake pipe on Wensday designed for a Skyrine ... I'll need to do a few little things before I can fit it though.
  9. I flew down to Melbourne, then drove to Camperdown (over two hours west of Melbourne) to get my S1 Dayz edition. There was nothing locally that I was particually after. It was a wild weekend!
  10. Model: Mazda RX-8 FE Series 1 2006 Colour: Brilliant black Mileage: 75,XXXkm Transmission: 4 Speed triptronic with Paddle shift Options: Sunroof, climate control, 6 stack CD player, Bose stereo system, Black and red leather interior, electric drivers seat, paddle shift, climate control, cruise control Rego: August 2011 Hey everyone, My mums Mazda RX-8 is up for sale, the only reason for the sale is that she needed a more practical car for her 4 year old daughter. The kilometers are mostly highway, as she lives past newcastle and travels to Sydney weekly for work. The car is mechanically sound, it is regually serviced at Newcastle Mazda and has log books. The body is in great condition, there are a few marks here and there, which is expected from a car driven long distances. Interior is immaculate, no rips or tears, there is a mark on the rear left seat from a baby seat though. Engine is great, we've never had an issue or hiccup with it. This RX-8 has all the factory options, including sunroof, red/black leather interior, and triptronic/paddle shift. It has been recently serviced and has near new Bridgestone Potenza tyres too. The RX-8 also happens to be garaged religiously. You will not be disapointed by this low km black beauty. Asking price is $28,500ono The car is currently in my care (located in Liverpool region), so to arrange an inspection, contact me on 0410-65-1989 Adam.
  11. We all found it quite nice actually No idea, I don't venture into the city too often.
  12. has that got two roof spoilers?!
  13. Sure you can, negative camber and tyre stretch is your friend! Just get a 10mm spacer and a 235 tyre then you'll be golden.
  14. I wanted a dayz edition, I like the kit that it comes with ... this one also has 65,000km whereas all the others I was looking at had double that, and were asking for more. So I'm getting sick of listening to the same CD over and over ... the Stag still has the factory headunit, meaning the radio frequency stops earlier then all the Australian frequencies. After having a look on ryda.com.au, I bought myself a JVC KD-R416 head unit for $150 shipped. I had a JVC in the MX-5 and it was good to me, so I figured I'd go for another. If your looking for cheap audio gear, be sure to check out www.ryda.com.au
  15. You'll have inner clearance issues on the rear AFAIK. Mine are 18X10 +21 on the rear, and they look like they might "just" clear with 2-3mm to spare.
  16. Yeah I'll need to pay it still, ohwell shit happens.
  17. I'm keen on the swaybars! PM sent! Sorry to hear about your accident
  18. Haha, thanks dude! I'll try my best, I plan on keeping my Stagea for a long time! Yeah, I was seeing how fast the big boat could go, I must say this car suprises me regually somehow. Nah I asked the copper if it affected my NSW licience, his exact words were "No it won't so if your driving back to Sydney, then shit you don't need to worry". lol. Funny how you can't find the Stagea you want in the same state as you live huh?
  19. So, why a Stagea for a drift hack? I like to be different, and I don't want to be picked up by the po-po everytime I drive it ... like my last car, a Mazda MX-5. I owned this beast for 6 years, at the begining of it all, it was very uncommon to see these things aggressively modified (low offset, wide wheels, low to the ground etc). Anyway, I set it up for drift, and it was quite a good drift car, but a back condition has led me to part it out, and I'm thinking for the future a little here too. The MX-5 would become a burden when it was time to have a family, and I was looking at another 10-15k for some more power out of it (which was the point i was getting to). So I decided enough was enough and went for the complete opposite of what the MX-5 was. So there you have it!
  20. Here's a pic Joe took today, that RX-8 in the background is mums, and it's for sale! Oh, and I ordered coilovers yesterday too, BC Racing BR series with 10/8 spring rates. Ok, I think I'm up to speed now
  21. I ordered some clear front indicators on monday, and they arrived on Wensday, so I put them in as soon as I got a chance. It seems that unless you want to pay $300ish for a set of "Dolphin" indicators you'll need to buy a set of Altima/Bluebird indicators and modify them slightly. I also did a major service yesterday, changed everything with high quality parts and the Stag runs quite a bit smoother now. Next up, rego, seat install and coilovers!
  22. Ok, so last sunday the gang and I were out in the Campbelltown area shopping and shit. I wanted to swing by Autobarn to check out the GT-R replica seats they stock ... I said to myself that if they were under $500 for the pair that I'd buy some ... we ended up walking out with 6 seats! (well, four really but ordered another two in). They just happened to be on sale for $199 each seat, and the end of that sale was today, rad! We also met Kyle off the forums, good meeting you dude I'm also organising a shitload of parts to come over from Japan ... some of the things include Kouki tail lights, HyperRev books, tie rods/ends etc.
  23. The Weds should look boss too, once I get them on.
  24. Since ownership, I've done a major service replacing all belts and fluids, and bought a shitload of parts locally and ex-Japan. I also took it skidding last week ... and I will be going again this week!
  25. at 10am we were out the door and ready to head back to Sydney. Yuan and I decided that we'll split the driving up every 2 hours. Yuan was the first driver out of Melbourne, I'm glad I wasn't driving ... it's confusing as hell! in some spots you have to share the road with these damn things. half an hour later, and we were just getting out of the CBD ... We all had a long day ahead of us. So it was time for a fuel stop and some breakfast. Yuan was still keen to drive some more, so off we went. This picture was taken at about 4pm and 400km's from home. The Stagea turned into a insect destroyer! Here's some windmills I snapped, on the outskirts of Yass, they were so peacefull to watch. It was time for dinner and our final stop before we were back in Sydney, and I noticed the turnoff to see the Big Merino ... I haven't seen it in it's new location before, and Julie has never seen it. Here I am with the Stagea at Cabramatta Hungry Jacks cleaning off all shit off the 900km drive. The Stagea ran flawlessly, and with four people, a set of wheels/tyres, one suitcase and three bags everyone was very comfortable. It was an eventful weekend, we travelled over 2000km's and probably had upto ten hours sleep during the whole of it (Joe only had six). Actually come to think of it Julie and Yuan had like a million naps! haha. So there you have it, our epic journey to pick up, my perfect Stagea.
