  1. Yea. Sorry. Bit frustrated with it all. Work has cut my hours to something like 3 hours a fortnight and this bastard just has to come along and seal the deal. By the sound of it all it's not even worth selling it, but repairing it instead. I'm reluctant to do so, I don't even know if I'll get anything off this son of a bitch but yea.
  2. Lol, sorry, that's rather obvious, I don't know what I was thinking.
  3. Dude the only GTV on carsales is $17k, now I think that's at least $3k over realistic. Now lets say a GTV worth $14k - ~$6K worth of damage on the rear end (waiting on what the panel beater says exactly) and the gealbox -$1k, $7k doesn't seem unreasonable.
  4. Ok, $7k then? No reason you couldn't drop a manual box into it and they're at around the $250 mark last time I checked (second hand ofc)
  5. 7 hours and $30 later, I rather enjoyed Deadpool the game. HARDEST FINAL BOSS EVERI enjoy my fair share of games on difficult modes etc, especially in hack, slash n shooter, I can't tell you how many times I've beaten DMC 4 on bloody hard modes, but the last boss of Deadpool on NORMAL was a f**king challenge...Well recommended though, and so is an Xbox controller with it, keyboard is useless.

  6. No mods. Since it's not a 'ride off' I was thinking a P-Plater would want to pick it up cheap and fix it.
  7. Uhh... The series two GTVs tend to be more expensive then most of the 25GT-Ts you see around... Sure $8k might be shooting too high but when it wasn't 'bent' it was worth around the $14k mark. Unfortunately there's none on carsales at the moment to get a starting full price from :-/
  8. So, in all likeliness I shall be selling my R34 GTV. I got rear ended on Manningham Rd on the way to Doncaster by a 96 pathfinder (i think it looks to small to be a patrol). Left most of the rear end crushed. Bootlid, both lights (one looks ok but isn't working), rear bar obviously, through the reo and into the rear panel, exhaust looks like it has shifted a bit too. To top it all off, he's uninsured, and my 3rd party only covers me for $3k. SO! I think it's time to sell for me. It doesn't look like it'll be ridden off, so whoever buys it won't have to worry about getting it checked out before putting it back on the road. Has ~80-90k on the clock. 2001. And the gearbox is stuffed, auto, shifting like a horse kick occasionally, been having that problem for a while and haven't been able to fix it after spending some money with a "transmission specialist". What I want is just ideas on how much people think it'd be worth in that condition. Obviously it still actually drives, but it wouldn't be roadworthy. I was thinking about the $8k mark. Thanks, and with terrible regret, Teiresias.
  9. I definitely will! I'm an embedded systems engineer (At uni) so looking into the guts of it all will be very interesting.
  10. It was a tad cheaper on his site so I got it there...
  11. Yea, looks like it is. Dunno how I then found an adapter from consult to OBDII o.O Anyway, ECUTalk is the only one I've found on eBay... Does he give members discounts? :-P
  12. Shite... I'd be a bit pissed with myself if I'm that wrong. I recognized that the port was incorrect from the device itself and got a cord that would sit between the two with the correct sockets either side... So you're likely right... This thread here is the correct socket... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/219569-r34-oxygen-sensor-test/
  13. Hey guys, Having a fault code come up and my mechanic and trans specialist is useless, thus I want to get and OBD2 reader to so that I can monitor the sensors that are calling the fault and get the bloody problem fixed. I have picked up one from ebay but whether it was the device or the applications that was the problem I'm not sure, but I was unable to connect to and read the ECU. It even made the car idle funny while it was plugged in :-/ It's a 2001 R34 GTV (25gt) so I know it's OBD2. So, if there's any recommendations for devices to hook upto my laptop I'd be much appreciative. Also bluetooth would be a preference, if they're considered reliable enough. Thanks, Teir.
  14. Yep. That's it. :-)
  15. Sat morning at work and we're considering how likely it is that Paul Askitis is rubbing bacon fat on his rear diff right now. Very was the conclusion.

  16. Nah, the gray P plater R34. Got SAU stickers on the rear quarter panel. Was about... 3 cars down from yours today? Don't usually get a park there, normally end up in the clock tower carpark or on Phallum St. (Clock tower is $9 flat rate for students btw, so if you have a student card and wanna park all day on lygon st, it's a goer!)
  17. Saw (Alvin?) a yellow R34 25gt-t with the lil monster keychain and the anime sticker above the SAU one. Spotted across the road from RMIT tafe in the city. Recognized it from last year's GoR :-)

  21. It's delicious, I love the smell of rain.

  22. Am I the only one that thinks that 'Skyfall' is the James Bond remake of Batman 'The Dark Knight'? I mean c'mon, Silver is the Joker!

  23. Gintama is back on CrunchyRoll! f**k yea!

  24. Listen up! Let's say you drink too much strawberry milk, and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. But it's cold outside your bed. You don't want to get up, but the urge to urinate is just too strong! You make up your mind to go! You run to the bathroom, stand in front of the toilet, and let loose! You think that all your life has led to this moment! But then you realize! It isn't the bathroom, you're still in bed! That feeling of lukewarm wetness spreads like wildfire...
