nah no chance in hell i am running stock turbos after i have spent all my cash and lost so much hair working out what parts to buy and not to buy ended up deciding on 2860r-5's as i figure they have the best tuning potenial down the track. not sure how they will fair with larger valves but stock cams,ecu, and injectors but time will tell. any other suggestions with the rest of the car?

Just about finished my motor, due to some unforseen events my motor blew only 12 hours after i bought .... 2 years later and a lot of money spent my motor is sitting on the engine builders bench waiting for all the ancilliaries to be bolted back on Turbos? what do i need to do when bolting my babies back on, do i need to run any water or oil through the turbo before first start up, or will primiing the motor be enough? anything else i should think about when it comes to getting the motor back in ? any tricks to it?

As the topic states i need a clean, undamaged and non ported head, i have all the components to go in the head, just need the bare hardware, if anyone has a spare head plz pm me reagrds, adam

I am looking to buy a few gauges for my line. I am fussy as and have seen prices range from $30 UPTO $300 for what look to be the same so i figure price is no indicator I want to buy accurate gauges which will give reliable measurements 100% of the time, I have heard stories of gauges being 30% out between readings so i kinda dont want these ones I also see lots of electronic and mechanical gauges Here is a list of gauges i wish to buy Fuel Pressure Oil Pressure Oil Temp Water Temp Boost Possibly a/f cheers for any help please do not turn this into a slogging match

mate i am interested to know what is the difference between the stock rb26 balancer and the N1 balancer if there is a decent enough reason i may buy cheers

not sure on skylines but i know on alot of other cars that have had these kits fitted, if you want them to open beyonf the 30 or 45 degrees they open to you will need modify the inside of the door basically the edge that would normally hit the top of the guard, means the door opens almost vertical without coming to close to other paintwork. its not hard but takes some metalwork skills. just my two cents

not sure from both of your posts if its a constant clicking noise similar to the cv joint noise, but if its a simple 2 click or three click noise your getting it may a front bush. For example on my silvia i had a front lower control arm bush i think (could be wrong it was a long while ago) and everytime i would hit a drive way or a dip followed by a rise it would basically dislodge and hit steel on steel (bolt to mount). one weekend took the car to pedders and paid my $14 for a sus check and they picked it right away. sounds like you boys could have a problem with a bush somewhere. cheers

has anyone got the measurements for the oil pump drive. so i can measure against my crank. i believe my car is not a v-spec i have a/c and stock stereo etc.... but i am more concerned with what the diffeences are between chassis and running gear. cheers

Hi all, i am doinmg a rebuild on my gtr motor and a few things have struck me and not adding up. I have the pull type clutch and b/box i think i have the r33 crank but my water pump does not have the elongated bolt hole that the r33 water pump has. 1. basically does anyone know what parts of these engines are r33 components and what are not 2. are my turbos r32 or r33 turbos and are they run of the mill or n1 variant 3. how do i know defenitivly that my crank is the r33 crank. 4. are there any significant differences in the motor compared with a r32 gtr pre 94 mtor 5. anything special about these cars. different chassis strengthening? cheers any help to shed some light on this would be very much appreciated also would people be interested in a run down of the costs i have for the rebuild cheers again

Hi guys and gals, I am selling this as it has been sitting round for the last 12 years. Its a Series 1 Savavah limited. Has all original parts. Car was owned by a relative and was passed down to me but i am having enough trouble with two projects already. It has 65,xxx km's on it. Interior is imacculate and reflects the usage. Still has original tyres from when the car was imported from japan. (over 17 years ago) Drive line is original, 12A with auto box (supposed to be rare, but either way it has not be abused) the body needs work, no accidents but you can image what 12 years sitting round can do to a body. to be a clean car it would need 2 door skins and a new guard (rust) the car runs fine although it needs new points and a battery. asking around 3.2k mark but looking to sell pretty quick so open to offers. what generation gtr have they come from, is it the r32 crank or the r33/34 crank?
