  1. Ok so its a known fact from a past thread that.... BP 98 is the only 98 Octane fuel that is refined to 98 Octane and not refined to 92 or 95 and then boosted by additives. Caltex Vortex, Shell Optimax and all that other shit is just normal fuel on steroids which in turn means the fuel is less dense and is less economical whilst giving similar performance. Just buy BP 98 and you will be using the best. I fang a bottle of pro strength booster into a 3/4 tank of 98 every now and then and I feel a decent increase again. You will notice a better improvement with an octane booster on BP 98 as well.

Remapped stock ecu (definitely seems like it could be an ecu related problem given that it is so infrequent) Car had every filter and plugs and all fluids replaced in November last year, car has done about 8000 kms since then. 4000 being from Sydney to Perth the day after this work was done. Never set the TPS up. Was going to mention TPS actually. It really just seems like the car doesn't understand the message sent to the tps sometimes hey. Like its sending the opposite message? Car had a coupla dyno runs last week - do they do anything to the tps on a dyno run? As opposed to a full tune?
  3. Questions been asked a million times before. You will gain some top end power, but possibly lose a little bottom end torque. You will have to relocate your battery yes. The standard intake manifold on the RB20DET can flow over 370kw so really its more looks than added performance but still worth it IMO. Don't bother with it until your making over 200rwkw.

  5. Clean the shit out of your battery clamps with contact cleaner and a wire brush. If she kicks over with jumpers on - it will be a battery related problem. I had this same problem a couple of weeks back and it was the battery clamps (not terminals on the battery but clamps that come on wires connected to the car) that were dirty. The only reason yours fires up with jump leads is by luck - you have clamped the jumpers on to points of the battery terminals/clamps that aren't so grubby. To be honest mine didn't look that dirty but after they were cleaned the car worked perfectly so yeah - i'd be starting here.

Once a week or so my car will do the following - 9 times out of 10 it will be within the first couple of minutes of the car being driven (I never drive the car cold) 1) I'll go to move off and when I press the throttle it will choke up and start to stall 2) When I let the throttle off it springs back to idle perfectly 3) I press the throttle on a bit and it goes to die again. 4) I turn the car off, switch the immobilser on, wait a minute or so... 5) I turn the car back on, she fires up, and no more probs for a good week if not two - pulls fkn hard, no other issues at all... I'm just waiting for that 1% chance that it happens when I really NEED to move and I die a terrible death. Any thoughts? James

You have to go into a chapter and shit Gimps34: I've just twigged who I shot in that mission lol Hibino: How f**ked up is that mission in M2 when you have to escape from other mafia cars and you've got the Smith Custom. Literally you have to go so hard - died like 30 times before I even made the first turn! I will say quite short. But I did like the focus they obviously made on the car side of things with the upgrades and stuff.

  17. Well yeah you were correct with everything man. One earth wire was loose, battery clamps were corroded and the battery itself wasn't tied down. Car now has none of the symtoms I first listed! Cheers bro!

  21. Yeah right. I've got a high flowed GT2871, making 276 hp atm with a Garrett actuator that brings boost to 10 psi at 4000rpm and then creeps up to 16psi at redline. I've got an old dyno sheet for the car making 230kw @ 20psi so im just looking to hit this figure again. I had a profec B in there but it died and my mechanice seems to think the EVC 5/6 is the way to go for maximum control of boost???
