  1. Hey SAU, Does anyone have, or know a place in Sydney who can sell me a master cylinder asap for my v35 ? My clutch is sticking to the floor when it gets hot. Any help will be very much appreciated. Cheers, Luke
  2. Sorry, Yep it cranks but doesn't start. As if its 90% of the way to starting but something is stopping it.
  3. Hey SA, My car has been acting strange recently. It would lock and unlock itself without me pressing the key, it would lock me out and I wouldn't be able to unlock it with the key fob. This happened once before and all that needed to be done was to place a new battery in the key fob. I tried that again this time, but for some reason when I try to start the car, it cranks but doesn't turn over. I also noticed the red light on the dash stays red when I rotate the key to the ON position, right before start. Any help would be enormously appreciated guys...my cars parked at westfields until I can figure this out. Thanks in advance, Luke
  4. I popped the bonnet and checked the fluids, they're right under the "max" level marking.
  5. Hi SA, This problem seemed to appear completely out of the blue. I recently had a jwt clutch and flywheel installed on my 03 v35, and everything was working alright until this afternoon. I was driving the car normally and then I noticed the gears seemed harder and harder to get into. To the point where I pulled over and bam! While running the car wouldn't go into gear at all. While waiting for a friend to pick me up, I tried it starting it up and putting it into gear again, and it worked perfectly. So I drove it home and noticed the gradual degredation in the gear changes. It seems like when the car gets hot it refuses to go into gear. Please help me out guys! Luke
  6. Thanks for the replies guys! But I busted out the coat hanger and jimmied the car open, popped the hood and jump started the beast back to life. One of the only Macgyver moments I've ever had =)
  7. Hi guys, I just returned from a trip and my battery is dead. So since the keyless entry isn't working, I tried to open the drivers side door manually and there was some sort of cap over the key hole. I grabbed a flat head screw driver and unscrewed the cap and it revealed the key hole, but theres some kind of hood with threads for the cap that I originally removed blocking the key from being pushed in all the way? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated at this point, Help me out guys!
  8. Hi SA, I need to find a clutch and flywheel for my v35 immediately, My clutch started slipping a few days ago and as this is my daily driver, I need to get the car back up and running as soon as possible. If anyone is selling a clutch, flywheel or both. Please me me with the details so we can organise something. Also, If anyone could recommend some good websites they've used to buy parts from with fast shipping that aren't overly priced, it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance guys! *Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I thought it would generate a lot more interest in a v35 focused section of the forum rather than the classifieds sections that's full of other skyline model's parts*
  9. Here's a quick video. It was pretty noisy outside so It didn't properly capture the sound clearly. If you turn up your speakers, you'll hear it. The sound is very loud in person.
  10. Thanks for the advice, I'll schedule an inspection tomorrow morning. I bought the car 9 days ago.. Would It help if I uploaded some videos of the noises for you guys?
  11. Hi everyone, This is my first post on this site . I know the issue has been beaten to death, and I've just about exhausted the search tool without finding a definitive answer. I just bought a used 03 v35 . The car has about 50k kms on it and everything is great except for the Transmission. I first noticed the problem when going through a drive through and feathering the clutch in 1st gear. It sounded like there was a rotating steel can with nails bouncing around where the transmission was supposed to be. I tried giving it more revs and the grinding/rattling noise just got louder. The same thing also happens in reverse and in 2nd gear at low rpms. After searching through threads here and on 6mt.com, There were mixed conclusions. Some have said it is normal, and some have said it was the clutch, Flywheel, Throw out bearing and every combination of the three. I figured if i'd post with my unique symptoms it would generate a more accurate answer. I took the car back to the Dealership and they said they would "look at it" Well, after 5 days The dealer called today saying the problem was fixed. I Went to pick up the car and low and behold..the chatter and shudder are still extremely there. I blew up at the dealer, they had my car for 5 days and did nothing. I asked what exactly they'd been doing with it. He told me he ran a complete diagnostic, and he checked the whole tranny. When I asked if the tranny was even removed, to check the clutch, flywheel and bearings he said " why would I do that?". He even tried to cover up the noise by revving the engine hard at every take off from a stop, then criticized me for slipping the clutch out of turns.. I couldn't believe he would even try that.. Was I wrong to expect that the tranny would be taken off the car to do a full diagnostic? He told me the chatter was due to a "heavy duty clutch and dual mass flywheel". I wasn't buying the fact that the car had the stock flywheel and was still making this much noise at low rpms. He took me to the performance shop that did the trans. check and the owner pretty much told me the same thing, the only thing they did was put my car on the dyno and max it out to check for slippage, which apparently it didn't. He also completely ruled paying for a new clutch, flywheel or trans because he thinks there's absolutely nothing wrong with the car. Sucks to spend 23k on a car only to have it sound like cement mixer ever time it takes off from a stop. I don't know what to do, even their mechanic who I first took it to said the car should not be acting like that at all. The manager and salesman both refuse to do anything, regardless of the 1 year warranty that they included in the sale price. I don't know if this violates forum rules, but the dealership is Edward Lee's in Homebush, N.S.W. What should I do? Thanks in advance guys, I apologize for the long read. Any help would be priceless to me at this point. -Luke
