  1. Why is that? i heard somewhere it cuts off for a sec as in not to put to much stress on the gearbox? Dunno if there's any truth to that but something along those lines
  2. "Update" Yea guys was a vacuum leak from the manifold... was a obvious split hose which was funny because the mechanic(ultra tune there so ultra... they don't tune skylines lol..) which just did the service said there wasn't a vacuum leak and was trying to tell me it could be something to do with something behind the cluster... fed up with the issue i purchased a boost gauge and was gonna install it myself by reading the posts on here so what do i find spilt when tracing the line from that little black box...... was in plain sight how the mechanic missed it is beyond me... sometimes it is just better to do things yourself.. Oh i no longer take my car to that mechanic anymore... Cheer's for the help guys
  3. Yea im actually after the instruction of use etc how change the settings not the actual wiring installation part
  4. Hey guys, Just after a link or something or pdf file of the manual for a fattx blitz turbo timer came with car ... Ive tried getting on the blitz official site with no luck... Cheer's
  5. So the 10-60w is better for engines that has done more k's?? if you consider 180,000 allot
  6. Stock as nails drive it a little hard is the 15-40w better then the 10-60w for a rb25 thats done about 180,000ks
  7. stock r33 gt-t is castrol edge 10w-60w any good to use? Up for a oil change this month has some shell oil it not sure which only just got it
  8. Just sits there sightly sits above or below 0 ... should be bouncing when i rev in neutral right?? i hear the stock bov go off but the gauge barely moves :S
  9. Hey guys noob question here i was in my mates gtr r33 manual and while we were kicking around i was watching the cluster and his boost gauge was going up and down like mad etc now question is (recently only brought a skyline new to it) didnt wanna embarrass myself by asking him lol so ,i have a auto gts-t and i noticed my gauge sits on 0 and slightly moves... hardly at all is my gauge dodgy or is it because its a auto or? And yes the turbo works.... It's all stock with a blitz turbo timer
  10. Recently got mine done actually r33 gts-t when i brought it, the rwc that seller had done had ran out by 5 days and only driven about 20ks since the rwc... rofl had the tie rod ends done for the rwc... now because i got it melbourne and being from gippsland i was like ok dont worry about the rwc what could possibly be wrong with it since it had recently been done etc and i would get a rwc done locally ... rofl what a mistake i took to a local mechanic these pricks picked on intermediate brack lights not working ... rofl which did i f$%king checked and had some1 tailgate be on the way home to make sure... Brake fluid flush... which was funny considering it had the recently been done from the buyer which had the brakes replaced and rotors.. even seen receipt so obviously flushed less then 3 months ago rofl... windscreen which they said had little chips in it... WTF i couldnt see anything even godamn got a windscreen repair dude out who just laughed at me... and said wants wrong with it... then wiper blades!!! which were new haha.. Bullsh!t Roadworthy rules indeed Oh and the end story was i took it back to the place which had done the rwc originally ... passed no problems... it had been tested twice there before... when the buyer had it...
  11. 6,000 m8 ill add some pics soon and yes a sedan... i prefer sedan then the coupe every man and his dog is driving around in a r33 coupe.. as common as commodores these days...
  12. *Update* Finally took the plunge and got hold of a stock as nails Black r33gtst sedan 1 australian owner and was a 51 year old lady had to drive far to get her though but was worth it... rwc nothing had to be done cept boots was it ... very happy with purchase and drives like a dream... cheers for the input guys
  13. and difference between a "gts-t" and "gts25-t" r33 ??
  14. Any difference besides the obvious cosmetic difference and it being a sedan compared to the coupe?
  15. Hey guys been looking at some r33's and just wondering whats the story with the few with the different style rear ends? as in the tailights and rear garnish? Like the one shown here for instance R33
  16. Cant believe there dumping hazardous waste into the ocean now..... Japan over its entire history is gonna be one radioactive island by the end of all this...
  17. Cheer's for the replies fella's appreciate it
  18. Rofl and you're on a skyline forums asking about v8's??? I think you have lost you're bearings friend...
  19. Yea been looking at r33 gts-t's preferably manual... Problem im from gippsland and there isnt a big variety of mechanics i know of in the area that know or do allot of imports aka (import specialist etc)... most r33's ive seen are around the 130,000kms mark and unmodified as ive been told a majority of modified skylines have been boosted and had the literal crap beaten out of them... so obviously looking for a fresh import(without importing one myself) ... just dont want that same crap bite'n me back on the ass in regards to servicing and maintenance...like the clubsport was... only thing i dont have the misses telling me to buy a crappy holden this time around... lol.... just the fear of getting a mechanic doing somethihng on a skyline in my area is kinda scary i can see the labour costs running high etc... and a skyline in my area would stick out like sore thumb... so generally parts for a skyline are pretty cheap then?? (Without having to go online and source a heap..) but through a standard mechanic
  20. Hey guys Im seriously thinking about getting a skyline and have wanted one for years from the r32 - r34 ive always wanted one being my dream car etc... im 26 not a hoon or kid wanting to be cool because he watched one to many fnf movies.. ive generally always wanted one The only thing that has stopped me for so long is the fear of maintaining such a vehicle is true to replace simple things like water pumps and getting a general serivce is so much higher compared to other vehicles? My prvious car was a vy clubsport which escalated into the thousands for each service... last being a simple service on the brakes (pads and rotors) which was over 1000 bucks... i think i just need some info on the general public of owners of skylines is it really expensive to own and maintain a skyline??? Being that i don't have mechanical knowledge... (as much as a simple oil change yea)
