  1. I mistakingly thought that all 370gt SP models came with Cruise Control as standard...(should have looked closer).....Does anyone know if their is a kit that can add Cruise or if it is possible to buy the original Cruise and have it fitted to the steering wheel??? If so, what does the kit cost and approximate installation costs, or I can DIY if its not rediculously complicated. Cheers Al
  2. Kez, If you are in WA, I will be putting my series 8 on the market in a few months, once my new 370gt gets a little closer to our shores. Car is basically stock, Cusco Zero 1 Coilovers are the only major mod apart from a panasonic touchscreen Sat Nav/Ipod/DVD player and small amp and sub in the boot, turbo timer and alarm. It is in very good condition mechanically the only issue is the dodgy Mazda paint that they put on is starting to look a little rough around the edges if you look closely. Still has about 2-2.5 years warrenty on it from the Importer i got it from here in WA, send me a pm if you are interested, i havent really thought too much about selling it yet, been more focused on sourcing the 370gt. I had basically decided to spend $10,000 - $15,000 on it to turn it into the monster that it should have been out of the factory, if Mazda hadnt needed to stick to a budget and make some money on them, but the Missus cant drive it and it does guzzle fuel like a muthaf'er around town. I'm pretty certain that I am going to be pretty devasted once it is gone, the 370gt is going to the a hell of a lot more luxurious but i dont think I will be as confident flicking through round-abouts at 100kph as in the mazda. I used to live in Kalgoorlie and it was great fun seeing v8's try to keep up and dissapearing into the distance as soon as their was any sort of bend in the road. Nothing funier than seeing someone shit themselves in the rear view mirror when they realise than they shouldnt have followed me into a round-about at 100. Al
  3. Do tyres from the US meet the Australian Standards criteria? this could cause issues for compliance..... It would be f'ed up if they dont accept the Jap tyres that are on it but let you put other imported tyres on......but then again.....thats government for you....
  4. Hey guys and gals, I have just purchased a 2008 370GT SP through Geoff at Prestige Motorsport (who has so far been extremely helpful and actually found me a better car, on paper, than I thought I would get for the money) and it should be on its way very soon. Does anyone have any advice as to what tyres I should go for, to get it past compliance? Tyre sizes are: Front: 225/45R19 Rear: 245/40R19 The car is going to be a daily driver so i dont want anything over the top or that gives a harsher ride and dont want to spend a fortune, up to $1500 for the set, maximum. Does anyone know of a good spot to get them in Brisbane? The car will be complied in Brisbane and I am in WA so I want to make sure that the compliance place doesnt try to make any extra $$$ on the tyres. On a different topic, I have been looking at some of the basic mods that people recommend and have read about the grounding kit that suuposedly improves throttle response etc. Does anyone have any experience with these and know if they actually make any difference? Attached is the Auction Sheet for the car, from Japan. Cheers Al
  5. Hey Guys, I'm new to the forum as well, in Perth and in the process of importing a 370gt SP coupe (2008 hopefully). I know there are not many of them around in Aus at the moment so there may not be a huge amount of advice that can be given but I am interested in knowing what basic mods people are making to these. I dont want to go wild but if there are any basic reliability mods that should be done or any small changes that can add a few kW, then I'm all ears. Also does anyone know if there were any changes between the 2007 and 2008 models and what the differences are between the US/Europe Infiniti models and the Nissans?? Any help appreciated guys, I will start trawling the forum and the net to see what I can find. Cheers Al
