  1. BOOSTD, is the turbine housing smaller than 0.61? Thats whats hanging off the back of my 3037 - looks waaaay too small:) God I hope it isnt:D How did you get he turbine housing bored out? Extrusion hone? Seems to be doing the trick, good luck with the next one.
  2. GTR low impedance injectors, GTS high impedance injectors. By the time you have finished rooting around getting fuel rail, resistor packs then trying to fit them (wouldnt be easy with a stock plenum) - you would have probably been cheaper to just get larger side feed injectors. High flowing injectors is pretty bodgey, can be disasterous. Like BOOSTD said, fuel pressure reg (under $200AUD) and you can stretch the stock ones out to 250+rwkw. Otherwise do it right and buy some larger injectors.

  4. 2rsimo, I can only agree 100%. I was extremely disappointed. I was not sent what I was promised - not by a long shot. I bought the plenum because alot of guys had good things to say about the manufacturer, and when I enquired he promised the 'flows 95cfm per runner over stock, bellmouthed and radiused, flow tested even flow on all runners' I am somewhat sceptical about all claims now. As soon as I can find the money, I will be upgrading. Hopefully anybody dealing with them in the future will take something away from this thread, and perhaps not have the wool pulled over their eyes too. Bottom line, make sure you get all promises in writing.
  5. Oh, and they wanted the top of my plenum back PLUS my throttle body and throttle cable.
  6. Slugged me $895 with a second hand ford throttle body - then I had to post it back (at my expense) as they had put the wrong flange on it for the ford throttle body and the arm for the throttle cable was in the wrong spot. When I got the plenum back (2 days later than they PROMISED), they had completely removed the arm for the throttle body so I had to get another welded on. Also the TPS was still the ford one, and had to be made to adapt up to the skyline one. They also said they were sorry but they had run out of studs to secure the plenum, and I could just drill those holes out. Also, the plenum needed to be refaced, as they had just used an oilstone after the final welding, and to quote 'its close enough'. I must be fussy, I didnt want close enough, I wanted 'as exact as possible'. Very, very unprofessional IMHO - /rant
  7. B-man, dont see how they could be high flowed in the rail. Those holes look a bit larger than the holes in the bottom of the stock injector - bit wierd that all those platic bits are broken. I have been told that they are pretty cheap to replace, but good luck getting the injectors out of the rail. The plenum isnt too much to look at is it. On the inside, you can see that they have radiused the top of the runners, but I definately expected better from them. They promised me bellmouthed runners, but didnt deliver that - as the old saying goes, 'buyer beware'.
  8. At the front of the fuel rail.
  9. From this webside: http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/ found some support software.
  10. Best way to do that is a fuel pressure reg. Can be had for under $200AUD from greenline for a nismo item. this is a pretty bodgey fix, as you may need the fuel up top, or under full boost. But, unless you can tune the car, you will get the extra fuel across the board, so run very rich which can cause major problems in itself. I have heard of people 'adjusting' the stock fuel pressure regulator with a pair of pliers, which isnt ideal, but you still need to tune the car to the new fuel pressure It also appears that upgrading to a larger fuel pump will cause mixtures to run a bit richer, as a few guys here have noticed when upgrading. Not sure why though, as in theory the fuel press reg should not be allowing this.
  11. Good to hear you got is sorted. slightly off subject, what size turbine housing are you using? on what turbo? and why do you think it is causing a boost spike?
  12. Does anybody else get the shits with only being able to post every 180 seconds?
  13. Only other thing I can think it may be, which is a quick fix, is clean your AFM.
  14. Guess what - delayed again! Just for something completely different. Sort of takes all the fun out of it. Hopefully all will be worth it in the long run:)
  15. Sorry I asked the question, thought it was reasonable one, but I didnt want to start upsetting people:( Appologies to all, just makes me start asking questions when someone moves on. I had my car tuned by martin, and I was quite happy with it. But when it comes to tuning a car, usually the owner of the car gets to foot the bill if it all goes wrong, so I am very, very cautious. Best to go with turbo tune if they offer a warranty:) I dont mind loosing a few kw as long as reliability is retained. By the way, MattR, your car seems to be going alright, have you had any probs so far (with the tune) and who would you recommend?
  16. Doughboy, that's a pretty awesome mid range, nice torque, but what happened to the top end?
  17. Turbo Tits, do you have a HKS 2530 on your car? Would be interested to see a dyno printout as I unfortunately havent had the opportunity to go for a ride in a car with RB25/HKS2530. I have seen a few R33s from japan come out with this combo, must hit pretty hard, pretty early?
  18. I have been told that the HKS 256 inlet cam will allow you to retain NVCS too? Will find out when mine gets fitted:) O.6 bar is about 9psi, so its not boost cut. when was the last time you changed you plugs?
  19. So anybody got contact details?
  20. I wont say for sure until I acutally have picked up my car, as in the past things just keep getting delayed:( But I will say 90% good
  21. Its already out, just sitting on the floor at Evan's workshop - still looking good for tonight:)
  22. Sounds good. Do you have any references that I could research?
  23. I'm sold! BOOSTD, you should be a sales man:)
  24. OK let me get this straight, you want to share your sister cos you got her for free???? Looks like I might be picking up my car tonight - at farking last:D still dont know who to get to tune it.
  25. Joel, the rb20 bore is a tad smaller than Rb25. The RB25DE came in two variants, non vvt and with vvt, perhaps you got wrong one that way? Is your de head vvt or without?
