  1. I have a new R34 GTR and want to swap the front brake rotors from my R33 GTR which are bigger DBA ones. Are they a straight swap ? Cheers Jeremy
  2. I will be launching it hard but will have to wait till the HKS twin plate arrives. Those times are pretty decent, what pwoer are you getting now with the 2530's, did you consider the GTSS's ?
  3. Ken, ive heard different things about whether theyre steel or not but the consensus is that they are at least from what ive been told Jeremy
  4. I am running 1.2 bar of boost. The turbos are safe at that level. "Mr HKS" has acheived some awesome ressults on his R33 GTR. He is getting 421 RWHP with GT SS's @ 1.1 bar of boost !! He has some very nice other mods but is not even running hot cams. He was getting 400 RWHP before moving to the GTSS's so theres some room for improvement. jeremy
  5. Cant deacrease scanned image of dyno graph sizue enough to attach. Its a nice power curve though. I will get 300RWKW out of these turbos BUt first need bigger injectors (currently running at 90% max) and will be getting stage 1 HKS cams (264 int 264 ext). May upgrade to GTSS turbos later but want to see what I can get out of the stockers which, in the GTR 34's, are steel wheels and ball bearing. Jeremy
  6. Yeah I have the dyno graph Im just trying to figure out how to attach it. Also - while I'm the proud father of my 34 Steve is the proud father os his Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer (and his kids too)- which is about as accurate as I have seen. So dont knock it.
  7. Paul, Yeah I was pretty happy and that figure is with the standard ECU although I think it must have been chipped. Jeremy
  8. Cheers Rob, Ive actually fitted the thing now and i'm pretty happy with it. jeremy
  9. I a very happy father of a R34 GTR that pulled out 278 RWKW on a conservative dyno (SST's) with: * standard turbos * standard ECU * standard fuel system * standard internals + full Blitz exhaust + HKS dumps + HKS pod filters + Trust intercooler + 1.2 bar Boost (Norgren boost set up) article from SPEED magazine has a quote: "leaving the GTR unmodified is as cruel as teaching bears how to dance" I couldnt agree more. More mods on the way. Jeremy
  10. Ive just received a response from "a highly reliable but unamed source" as follows: "As far as I know, unless it is N1 or Nur, the turbos in std and V Specs are the same which are steel wheel and ball bearing. Likewise with the N1 and Nur, just that they have slightly higher flow." If thats the case I'm a happy camper.
  11. Merli, I would be interested to know where youre getting these figures from ? The reason being that the table shows GTSS's rated at lower output than 2510's whereas HKS on their japan site rate GTSS's as having 320ps which is the same as 2530's (on the Jap site) ?? The ozzie (ozzie ozzie) site however rates GTSS's at 280ps, someones wrong ? any thoughts Jeremy
  12. Guys, Just wondering whether my 34GTR has steel wheels or ceramic/plain bearing or ball bearings ? Ive been told some 34's have either of the above combos in their standard turbos BUT which ones have which ? Just had dump pipes fitted really dont want to deconstruct to check (YES should have checked then) Jeremy
  13. Sydneykid, Thanks for your detailed answer, I have PMed you. The difficulty I have (and this will sound dumb) is that I dont know which is the Plenum hose and which is the hose to the wastegate and what you mean by a T section >???/ Jeremy
  14. Of anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Ive set the thing up as I thought it goes but doesnt work like Ive seen it explained. Ive taken the solenoid out of the equation nut which way to wategate amd which way is from turbo compressor when looking at standard solenoid ?? confused you ?
  15. Wiktor, thanks mate, job done sensor moved and a reasonable amount of cutting and welding required. jeremy
  16. Thanks for all the replies guys, will advise of decision and power figures ! I think the drill is - stroker lit + GtRS or 2.6 GtSS/something similar. I will scan in the dyno on the trust T51Z's: very impressive Jeremy
  17. Yes, translated for those in metric land 278 KW's !... and watch this space, more to come yet ! cheers Steve and Ant !
  18. Perhaps you should read the rules yourself sunshine, you seem to bebreaking more of them than anyone in this thread ... LOSER.
  19. Figured in out, see original message I have attached dyno chart for GTSS's quite impressive.
  20. Guys, How do you insert an image into these messages (Im not too bad on computers but this has got me Fked)
  21. Appreciate the comments but have you guys been in a car with GTSS's, I have and it was phenominal ! Must confess however I havent been in car with 2530's
  22. BOBBO, ... I have a pair of HKS 264 sitting in my garage waiting to go into the car that I got in for $745.00, no tax. "it helps if you know how things operate"
  23. Interesting info ...: HKS official Japanese web site http (//www.hks-power.co.jp/) rates their new(er) GTSS power output equal to their GT2530 at 320PS. This is perplexing in that the official HKS Australian web site rates GT SS at only 280ps and 2530 at 320ps. Also the "new" Trsut T517Z's now look to be superior to the HKS items as they flow alittle more power and come onto boost earlier than the 2530's but probably later then the GTSS's. Anyone gone from GTSS's to T51's ???? note; image below is HKS dyno graph for GTSS's !!! ... comments ?
  24. rgw T51's 0n that graph are rated MUCH higher than either the Gtss or 2530's (if my reading is correct?). That artice in HPI rates them rather highly, I was looking at GtSS's but now considering these new Trusties
