  5. Your right Duncan there was no GTR's or Saker. The racing was competitive and most importantly clean racing. It was intersting to watch a Subaru coupe (still road registered) in super TT beat everything on the track bar a group a commadore! He ended up with 2nd as tyres went off on the last lap.Damn.. Intermarque was good, Porsche v Masarati. The first porsche has 600+hp which showed the way it ripped apart the main straight but only just beating a twin turbo porsche with the massa in 3rd. Thunder sports is basically the supersports class with the few extras added to it.The racing was quite entertaining. There was a Formula holden with a 450hp 4.0 toyota V8 which was impressive. There is another one coming soon with a 600+ V8 which the driver stated as rewriting the record books at a few tracks. Will be interesting to see as he was a front runner in F5000 in the 70's, so age does not weary all of us..Funny, that the fastest cars over the weekend were two 20yr old F2's!
  6. The Saker is running in the supersports category. The blue one is owned by the man who own two GTR's one of which he is planning to run in the 12hr.I will find out more on sunday. I had 4 hotlaps in the blue saker at the Wakefield Motorsport Expo...unbelievable. Yes the Ztune can run in intermarque and super tin tops
  7. I have emailed the driver with no update whether he is running or not. He is racing this weekend in the Aust. Motor Racing Series with his sportscar which is one of the fastest cars in the country and maybe his R34 GTR. This is a monster, stating sub 60sec laps at wakefield. If you are interested in unrestricted weapons on the track check out a AMRS weekend. There are two classes for GTR's, Intermarque GT and Super Tin Top's. Cheap to register your car and license, cheaper option to compete and they run in almost every state. I will be on the video camera this weekend with footage on youtube next week. cheers Steve
  8. I will be there whiplash. Are they running the 2 litre saker in intermarque or thundersports?
  9. I'll be there, but will be making my own way out there. Turn 1 is my pick for the weekend.
  10. I dont know about TV coverage but expect it will be on speedweek and foxtel. I checked out the list of on BMIF with no mention of the GTR. I will contact the driver in the new year for more details
  11. They are allowing Targa/rally event cars to compete. I had a look at the list but didnt see gtr's on the list, but he is running. I will have some pic's of the car up in the next few days. The link to the site is www.bimf.com
  12. I will get more details on the car including it uncanny ability to talk! I can tell you the car is white, carbon bonnet, volk wheels.
  13. I was at the AMRS motorsport expo at Wakefield Park over the weekend and struck up a coversation with a race spec GTR. $30k roll cage, slicks, huge brakes, 380kw, 63 sec around wakefield.Impressive.. One thing lead to another with talk about Bathurst which he reponded with having this particular car at the 12hr along with two additional R33's.I don't what other GTR's will be there but will chase it up over the next week. Whoever is interested in coming up to Bathurst to watch the event let me know and I will organise an area for camping or the likes. If there is enough interest we may be able to sway the organisers to allow Skyline Australia to provide a parade or the likes. Cheers Steve
  14. I have never liked holden since they destroyed the 24hr at Bathurst. They are clearly the trash of the two sides. Murphy is an idiot and this kelly is no better. The incar showed him clearly taking him out, then the rest of the boneheads behind them bumping into each other following this cheap shot by kelly. I mean they are heading down a hill, cant they see that there is something going on just in front of their noses? This is another reason why V8SC cannot be taken seriously, cheap shots, amatuer driving, poor dicisions by officials. I was watching the GT racing before the V8's and you can see a clear difference between them. that's my rant..
  15. I will post the pics over the weekend
  16. No worries mate.I will post some pics up over the weekend. Yes xmas can be a drain on the finances.See how it goes. cheers

  19. As long as you pay for freight it's yours Geoff. If you contacted a few weeks ago I would have hand delivered it when I was at Historic Sandown! Cheers
  20. I was out there with a mate. Was a great day, huge fields of cars, clean racing, sat on the hill watching a camaro powerslide through T1 at a great rate of knot's. cheers
