Halo Projector Headlights
Dreadnought replied to KingManu23's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Hi, USDM G35 lights are compatible but not recommended, bit of work to get them right, and a limited range of adjustment. Most US light configurations are available in JDM format, except the side by side twin projectors (only seen them in US version). Some local V's have US lights with no issue, others feel they still arc into oncoming traffic or are pointed to far down. I haven't seen a defect notice with this specifically on it though. Ironically, the Aftermarket Lights thread, where this was discussed at length, only made it to page 2 yesterday: http://www.skylinesa...ket-headlights/ -
Thanks guys!

Hi All, I'm looking to add some Camber arms to the V, with a fair bit of camber available adjustment. Being that I know sweet fa about the geometry and available products, has anyone used or know about SPL, SPC, Cusco, Hardrace, Megan (or others)? Any knocking in the wells, issues with fractures etc? Ichiba/Godspeed seem to be the ones to avoid, so not considering them. Looking at: Front upper control arms Rear Camber arms (upper/lower?) Toe bolts? Appreciate any assistance / advice

You and me both, although I haven't really had an extensive search locally in Australia yet. Let me know if you find anything. The car in the photo you posted is also for sale, you could buy that -
Might be a tight squeeze between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon plans. I'll see if I can make it for the mountain run, but maybe just come get breakfast Applaud the initiative Tea!

Revised 350Z Suspension On A V35 Coupe
Dreadnought replied to Vimana's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Hi Vimana, I had lower king springs on stock V shocks for a while, which effectively dropped the ride height and didn't seem to effect the ride quality. Worth a look imo, instead of replacing the entire suspension right out of the gate. I looked into the Z shocks too, but wanted to eventually replace the stocks with fully adjustable coil-overs. How much are the stock Z33 shocks if you don't mind me asking? -
Vic - Garage Cafe - Meet And Greet - April
Dreadnought replied to thinktea's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Good meet, nice peeps and a good cruise on the way back out. You're right Tea, G'Cafe was way too full to consider doing the lights. Now I need more camber and more low though, loved most of the Stanceworks showing. -

We will have a moments silence for your exhaust tonight, which is ironic I think -

Bigs, how long do you think to complete the install (no issues of course)? I should really check my wiring too, based on your post in the lights thread, would hate to get the old lights out (in the dark, cold and far from home) only to then realise I have to do it all up and start again later... So, depending on how bold I feel after checking the wiring, I'm bringing: - Lights (duh) - Socket set (incl 10mm + extension) - Screwdrivers/misc tools - Drop sheet/rubber matting - Lighting - Masking tape -

I'll be there, usual time around 7pm (read: 8pm) I'm bringing limited tools for the lights and a drop mat, dont think I'll have a chance to get mine in before then anyway. Bigsky, Im looking at you as the reseident expert! -
Message Chris Rogers on the forum, he just sent me one ex-Japan that is mint, over-nighted it to me once it landed (QLD-Vic) and the price was the best I could find.

Hi Paul, the accoustic dampening in V's is notoriously poor. You might be able to splice some silencers in or get a tail silencer (never tried one, not sure how/if they work). I have also thought of sound proofing the rear, but havent spent any time working out how to do it best A tune also helped mine, so it doesnt sit a 2k RPM and drone too much. Let me know if you crack the solution

Good to see the usual suspects and meet the new ones, funnily enough I headed to the drags the long way once we'd finished, must have missed that conversation... Tyler, I'll probably approach Nuwan at IREV to do my lights and replace a window motor while its down there, he is friendly and by all accounts has done a lot of first hand work on V's. -
How Often Do You Guys Scrape?
Dreadnought replied to Marshan's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Agree with everyone, scraping might be the price of greatness. Can you see whats catching underneath? The flanges on the OEM pipes and the mesh flex are the most likely. I cut my flanges off and welded the mid-pipe directly on, now the cats scrape sometimes, but no 'scrape then bump'.
