  1. mine has been done about 2 weeks ago, the end tanks are pretty big so the indicators dont fit. Also have the middle bit hacked out. The cooler was put on and the bar was cut to fit. Doesnt look great but getting a new front bar soon. Steve

  3. I still cant believe that he booked me for it. It said modified silencing device which is not the case, the whole thing has been replaced. Id love to dispute it but it get done for everything else
  4. Posted this up earlier to day but the forums were down and it didnt make it. This is a shortened version believe it or not. I was driving in Brissie last night maybe around 4ks over the limit tops, and I saw a cop with a gun. I didnt even bother hitting the anchors because i was hardly speeding. The cop put his gun down as if he was going to let me pass. When i got about 10 metres away from his, he must have seen the fmic and pulled me over making all the cars behind me come to a very abrupt stop. Then he directed me to cut across 3 lanes of traffic while all the cars waited. I got out of the car and walked to wards him and he told me to turn the car off, so i pulled the keys out locked it and went back but the tt was running. He said " i said switch it off!", so went and did so. He started telling me that my exhaust was too loud. I said that as far as i was aware it was within the legal limits. He was telling me that as soon as you make the car louder than what it was when it came out of the factory, that is a breach. I kept questioning him on this, being quite nice about the whole thing, because every second car you see these days has an exhaust. I asked the cop where i could go and get the car tested and as soon as i did he went a bit quiet. He told me and then said it costs a bit of money to get it done. I asked him how much and he said 20 bucks...whoopdi doo. Anyway he wrote me a defect for, and i quote, "Drive vehicle with modified silencing device which reduces effectivness". The really funny thing is, is that i have an atmo venting bov, an unenclosed pod filter, a gauge higher than the dash, a hand controller for my wol and no indicators on the front bar because of the recent fitting of the front mount! Im not going to get itr tested because i will prolly get pulled up on those things. Ill pay the 45 bucks and be done with it. If have complete and utter respect for QLD police and the fact that they have a job to do, (even though some o them are bastards), but this guy had no idea... Steve
  5. I had an SAFC in my car after i turned up the boost. Didnt really help much just saved me some money on fuel. I was getting pretty bad detonation. Then upgraded to a Wolf3d version 4. Have not had any probs since. And yes there is a PFC that is plug and play but you will still need to have it tuned. Steve
  6. I have had the Wolf fitted in my 33 about 3 weeks ago. Power figure is ok but it is a bit rough in low rpm, only because it is the first time that my mechanic has tuned one. Would anyone happen to know someone in brissie that can tune the wolf? Steve

  9. My mate has got a T78 on his R33 (currently for sale). He has around 500rwhp. Not sure when it comes on but being a large turbo its a little laggy but the top end is awesome. He has had a heavy duty clutch fitted so driveability is fine and the box is holding up so far. Not sure on fuel consumption but very reasonable from what i have heard. Steve
  10. Sorry Mad, once you learn how to drive with the twin plate it will be fine otherwise i wouldnt be getting it as i have to drive in peak hour everyday. If your not going to go over 350rwhp or so just go for the heavy duty. Steve

  12. My mechanic has quoted me $800 for an organic twin plate clutch fitted with the flywheel machined. I have been trying to decide on a heavy duty or twin plate and i think the twin will be better in the long run. He quoted $550 for a heavy duty fitted. If you want his details send me a pm Steve

  15. Just a quick question for those with a hand conroller of some sort. Where and how have you mounted them? I have a Wolf 3d version 4 hand controller and double sided tape just doesnt cut it. It heats up and falls off Any suggestions or pics would be great!! Cheers, Steve
  16. Sorry to sort of hijack, but mine keeps blowing fuses for the cabin light. Have put i think a 15 or 20 in there and still blows. Have traced all the wires (most) and i cant see where it would be shorting...?

  18. Are you running standard boost? I had the same problem with mine and thought it was coil packs. It was actually the spark plugs, got them replaced and regapped to 0.7. When i turned the boost up got a similar problem but that was due to running to rich and too much timing. Hope this helps. Steve
  19. I raced one a few months ago, it was running standard boost just had an exhaust. The line had pod and exhaust standard boost, rolling and stand still start he got me. I was having major detonation problems though and have since raced him and won. S

  22. I just had my safc tuned, installed myself but took it to my mechanic to put it on the dyno. Well worth the money IMHO
