well done rev210! v nice times for such 'little' work! I know that osc@r doesn't think much of the pineapples ... I put mine on, and noticed a fair amount of difference in traction on 2nd gear after changing the tyres to some toyo's I can happily say that I have absolutely NO traction problems at all osc@r said it was set up properly, so I'd say it has something to do with his tyres maybe the tyre pressure I don't believe in (but you've no doubt read my thoughts over and over again in the wa section :lol:) do you run thermo fans or anything in yours? Also won't 20+ degrees timing destroy your engine quicker than running 14psi will kill your turbo??? Well done again mate!

When I went to collect my car the guy there said he had to take it for a drive to run the oils in, and that the car would take a gen3 easily (ask jimi to verify that quote) he respects imports, otherwise he wouldn't have done my car, so I'd say what he was meaning was that he saw you pull up in your 180sx and assumed that, since you were pulling into a V8 shop, you were looking for V8 bits (which may be for your boyfriend) since they don't cater for imports

The place is called Performance Unlimited, and yes they tailor v8's and pretty much v8's only The thing I can't understand is why do you find this really funny?? Just because they don't have any japanese parts, it doesn't mean it isn't a performance shop. I'd say the same would go for if a v8 rolls into a jap performance centre, asks for webers, and be told that they don't stock them I'd say he thought you were buying something for your boyfriend because he saw you rock up (at a v8 shop) in an import car... I actually took my car to Performance Unlimited, in order to get a Redline Service (engine/diff/gearbox). They ended up being $200 less than what Cypher quoted me! I even had a 'HSV - I just beat one' sticker on the back, yet they found it entirely funny as the ford v8's were laughing and showing the hsv boys, yet they laughed too. I doubt I'd receive the same hospitality (esp after the sticker) and discount as I did there, if I were a v8 doing the opposite. I'm not having a go, but I wish ppl would leave v8's alone; it's like as if ppl think it's really great to degrade them ... and if everyone does then I find it tragic ... and immature esp that shop, as I found their overall work A1.

I bought my sticker there and a couple of fuel pumps the guys there are top blokes, will help you out with all their needs there are air fresheners and fluffy handbrake covers, but they do performance parts and ICE as well

my bad my bad I just thought by the title that that's what the idea was intending to do and with the nonskylines I kinda stopped reading after boostzor said "IMHO we should have 'lines only for club represetation eg. MC team must be purely 'lines unless ppl want a B team." next time I'll be patient and read the whole thread to save face

if only skylines are allowed to participate in the team 'games' (which of course is justifiable since it's a Skylines Club lol), then I can't see any point in non-skylines being associate members and paying the full whack the memebrs pack I don't exactly need haha, no offence, but if there were to be discounts as part of being a member (and some form of proof to show the shop you are a member) then that'd be the only benefit us non-skylines have but then again I understand it's a skylines club and I'm don't own a skyline, so I didn't vote on this one personal feeling: the club is great the way it is nothing too heavy, nothing too complicated

guys... it's been said before, and just accept it: there are good AND bad rumours / stories / experiences about every tuning shop either the best idea is to do a consensus OR make up your own mind by trying them out I've never dealt with speedworks, I've heard both good and bad things (on this board and in the real world), but at the same time I've heard the same stuff about all the other dyno's ... noone can get around getting a blemish on their rep people may go to a dyno, get a good 'experience', become loyal to that dyno and put down other ones, I don't know if this is true, but IMHO I'd go for one of the big guns as they're going to know their stuff and have the equip I've been to SST, I had a good experience, good for me I'll go back there should I have gone to speedworks I no doubt would have had the same experience (as I was searching for a problem in the car, not a wank figure) ... I'd have absolutely no quarms about using speedworks in the future though there's no big deal here, choose who you want and stop bagging other tuners *end rant* btw, this isn't by any means aimed at anyone and I don't mean to offend anyone, I only read the last page of the thread and put it in before things get out of control

I found it was all to do with the setup rather than the bleeder - I used to get spiking from 15 or 16 down to 10, changed dump pipe, turbo and some other minor pieces and now it spikes about 1psi just a std run of the mill turbodumb gated boost controller, but keeps the boost up so thats what counts ebc I'd be most happy with but $$$ (even though a mate was telling me last nite he's getting an avc-r locally for $400, the %$&*)
