  1. I drove Bris to Sydney in the rain including some high speed sections, no problems at all. UAS bonnet with the large vent to rear of radiator position. Had some very heavy rain too
  2. Do what we do get out the bathroom scales and weigh the complete rim and tyre
  3. So.... is this an Aus sold car or a grey import and what would be a good price to pay for it
  4. Ahem! Premium is 96 octane you need to add 2 octane points which means 5L in 50L sweetr33 How much was that 100L delivered going to cost you and from whom? I thought you could only get 20L or 200L containers or was that 5x20L containers
  5. No timing marks on belt as far as I know, marks are on the top wheel with a reference mark on the front of the head just above it. re vaccume lines....depends on the condition of the old ones. Re radiator.... I don't know I would assume that as the RB25 developes more power in stock form it's radiator would be bigger capacity..... but don't quote me on that .
  6. Roy Very interesting read ....thanks a lot...
  7. Heh! wakeup! we ARE talking about Coilovers
  8. General opinion seems to be that Jap coilovers are too hard for Aus roads. My opinion ...any coilover setup is too hard for Aus roads. I have Aus built DMS full adjust. with Whiteline springs....but only for track... and you'd need a lot more than $1500 You can get lower spec Whiteline combinations though, and I can reccomend Whiteline products. http://www.whiteline.com.au

  10. 666DAN I'm going back out there tomorrow with my 2 boys and a friend( it happened at our house outside Boonah) Ican identify the ladder that did it and they are going to give it a good kicking for me....but what the h*ll...if you want to join in ....the more the merrier. The saving grace of the thing is ....I don't have to have any surgery or even wear a cast.... which is great news in this hot sticky weather
  11. I think that most people who have done a lot of internet buying and selling would be fairly disenchanted with cod. It is comparatively expensive to use, doesnt give any real guarantees to the buyer, and if it's not picked up the seller has to wear the cost both ways .
  12. As fog lights are for use in fog where headlights just reflect back at you and make things worse, it makes sense to not use them with headlights and this is reflected in the law in most of the states. It seems that a lot of people on these forums can't differentiate between fog lights and general purpose driving lights. the two throw quite different beams. As driving lights are supposed to be used with high beam on obviously in built up areas these are illegal too if used with low beam As for looking cool ......they probably do......to other morons
  13. So they use the plates and a lookalike car for an armed robbery.....then make a clean getaway while a bunch of nervous heavily armed cops are surrounding your house.... Best of luck mate.....yeah it's not worth reporting to the cops
  14. looks like i will miss the first 2 or 3 level 2 meets this year.....unless.....maybe........what do you reckon.........my old RangeRover ...has a 4 speed auto.....how would it go through the esse's....and how about turn 6??.....maybe not eh!
  15. Yep! This grumpy old man fell off a ladder on Sunday. My left heelbone is now in 9 separate pieces. I will be non weight bearing on crutches for next 6 weeks maybe longer, then partial weight bearing for another 6 to 10 weeks. Ortho cheerfully tells me it will be around 18 months befor i'm walking normally again. Happy New Year Jay. Move to Boonah is postponed. Those guys who have used my place for repairing or working on their cars....it is still available, but, I will be pretty much only able to offer advice, no hands on stuff for the near future.
  16. Once more just for luck..... IT DEPENDS ON THE OFFSET.... you could have 205's rubbing if you had the particular offset to cause that condition. you need to know the offset of the wheels you want to put on, then asking if they will fit a particular model car is a question that can actually be answered. Without an offset you can only find out by putting them on. All the other answeres in this thread are just confusing the issue
  17. That sounds ok, count me in, will this be an ongoing thing or just a one off?. Mick and I expect to be doing about 15 track events this year.
  18. Well yes, if you get an alum radiator repaired you would expect it to be done in alum....same with a recore
  19. Was 63 when I got my Skyline.....Lots of fun on track ' strip and street.....don't think I look like a "tryhard"....don't care anyway
  20. This is my modded type M bar now on 4 Doorz car http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Blac...0Bar2%20(1).jpg
  21. Just curious.... all you guys asking for prices and Volk wheel sizes.....did you actually read the first post??
  22. depends on the offset of the wheels,we've had 9.5's on the back with 255 35's
  23. I have 400R style front indicators clear lens and clear globe but they have amber reflectors inside and flash a really good amber colour ???
  24. I'm curious what does it actually cost to get an old VL block cleaned up inside and out and how clean do the water and oil channels actually come up. I got a new series 2 VL block off Nick and at $450 it seems pretty good value and of course gets you off to a good start. ps got an old block for the crankshaft etc cost $50
  25. Sentric dancer, sorry mate....Japan does not qualify as local
