what is a good launch? ive done 5000rpm & its nice...ive also tried around 6000rpm & it goes ballistic (u can smell tyres frying all 4's) 4000rpm & it gets boggy... changing gears fast & clean would be important but not flat changing right? i dont like hurting my car

hi guys, im running my r32gtr, has 325awkw on 1.35bar (street tune)...what times can i expect to hit? what else do i need to do to prepare the car? (this is my 1st 1/4 mile run) my tuner recommended i run octane booster then i can run 1.45bar boost, on 1.35bar knock level doesn't go above 25 so its nice & safe how about tyre pressure what should i run & will i need to do a burnout to get the tyres sticky? my guess is that i dont need to worry about these 2 things being an AWD... regards,

i have never heard of a street registered car to pull 1.40 @ eastern creek...have u actually pulled these lap times with your setup? if so that is phenominal...i used to race in the 250 production class (motorbikes) & on my street bike r1 my best was 1.39 & i did a 1.37 on my previous zx10r. u should post more pics of your gtr (that is if its still for sale) - it looks amazing

can u post a pic of your setup?

i am undecided which way to go... 1. 'border' catch can which vents out the top of the unit with a flat filter (from greenline or rhd) OR 2. 'essential' catch can as pictured which dont vent out (from greenline or rhd) what is better for engine? as i understand it venting out is illegal however it does its job better by keeping the air cleaner & not returning it back into the engine...thoughts?

what did u pay for the racepace catch can? i'd like to know if they make it for the r32

that is what im looking for - where did u get that catch can? does it vent or is it enclosed?

if its good enough for the japs then it cant be inadequate - funny though i spoke to another shop about this & they told me clearly that they are simply not as good as the remote type (like what u have on your 33 nick) on top of all this, the shop im referring to only stocks this top mount style so go figure...
