  1. Just pull it off and straighten it up on the passengers side. As for the tyres, why not buy new (legal) ones and put them on your car. Then you won't get stickered for them again.
  2. Pen Style. Brand new, never installed. $120 (inc postage anywhere in Aust.)
  3. Thanks for the replies guys.
  4. I have a question regarding the headlights on an r32 gtr. My lights have a small round (domed) lens and the inner lense is rectangular (ish). When I put the headlight switch to normal low beam position the round ones light up along but when I put on the high beams the rectangle ones light up and the round ones go off. Is this normal or is something wrong??
  5. Might be the crank angle sensor, my vl did the same thing and that's what it was.
  6. For those of you who have got your car's licensed did you use the existing holes in the parcel shelf or drill new ones. The reason I ask is that I have mounted my restraint points using the holes already there in the shelf but they are offset from centre. Just curious to see what others did, and what they got passed by engineers/pits.
  7. [Congrats on the car. It looks great with those wheels. Also appears to have the same number plate mine was sold with, weird.
  8. Sort of. Prestige sourced it through him. I used UCL (Customs Broker) to handle anything this end. I didn't have to do anything and they delivered it from Freo to Hillarys for $50.
  9. You're still waiting? I got mine delivered on Monday.
  10. Thought those number plates looked familiar. Check out the plates on mine when at auction! Must recycle their plates, not their cars.
  11. I watched the Fremantle wharfies unload the cars of the Bravery Ace for a few hours. I'm glad to say that I didn't see one car being given a hard time. That's not to say it doesn't happen as I'm sure it does but when you see the amount of cars, buses, trucks, cranes, bulldozers, backhoes etc etc that these guys unload and the time they have to do it in, it's pretty amazing. Definately not defending the pricks that play Colin McRae with our cars. I just didn't see it when I was down there.
  12. Tyler, can't say for sure as the sun was glaring of the water but look at the pic below. I think that might be them.
  13. The old imports are to the right near where the orange Pilot boats dock. I can send you a short wmv (1.4mb) of the cars I saw there this arvo. I think yours might be one of them. Saw shitloads of Spacegears being unloaded and also saw no thrashing of cars at all!
  14. The Bravery Ace is in. Went past at 3.00pm ramp was down, shit load of wharfies walking up ramp but no cars off just yet. There is a good viewing point on the pedestrian bridge near Captain Munchies or behind office works. Might go down later on with a video camera and get a bit of footage.
  15. My 32 GTR is on this boat. I've left a car cover in it to give the wharfies something to take home.
  16. No it wasn't eligible straight away, I bought it under the belief that SEVS compliance would be just a few months away. As we know that never eventuated so my only option was to hang out for it to turn 15, that was Jan this year. Basically from the time I got my IA to shipping was less than two weeks. It was stored in Kyushu, no idea of the port.
  17. I was waiting...... But found out tonight my 32 gtr is on the ship and should be here around 12th March. I've waited 18 months for this car so for those of you complaining about a few weeks (or even months)... count yourselves lucky!!!!
  18. I noticed in the Sunday Times (Perth) last weekend quite a few 89 gtrs all around the 25 to 28k mark!
  19. It would be a shame if someone, some day went down to the wharf's and jacked up their (the wharfies) cars and stole their wheels, stereo's..........
  20. Refile once and then send de-reg papers when the FAST printout couldn't be verified as true and un-altered.
  21. **Just stating my experiences** I had my application refused in less than a week because mine was incomplete. I'd strongly recommend getting all your paperwork in order before making the application.
  22. Having just been through this process I can recommend that you get the de-reg papers before sending in your application. I have just spent the last month waiting on my Approval only to find out that DoTars wouldn't accept the FAST printout unless the provider stated that it was a true and certified copy. The supplier wouldn't sign it so I ended up with the de-reg papers that I was told I didn't need. In short, get the papers. They should be available as soon as you purchase the vehicle.
  23. Okay. Yet another hiccup along the way. I sent my IA in first week January. Card was debited the $50 on the 12th Jan. 7th Feb, no paperwork. So I give them a ring....... As I used the FAST printout they required the following:- The printer of the FAST to state who they were and sign a statement to the fact they haven't altered the document in anyway. I then sign it and fax it to them. They apparently sent a fax to this effect on the 12th Jan but I didn't receive it. Why?? I don't have an f....in fax machine. Oh well it's all cleared up now and I'm sure my car will join the rest of yours jockeying for position on the docks of Japan.
  24. Ok. I see a charge from Dept Transport on my credit card dated last Friday. Hopefully should see the approval in the next day or so.
