  1. Well it never really used oil, constantly checked the dipstick, yet to find out the condition of the turbo
  2. As well as unknown condition of the old turbo, yes
  3. The bottom end and head are only about 6000kms old. Ive been told motors can have decent blow by till around 10,000kms?
  4. I will have a dyno print out on or by the weekend. Tuners said the rear muffler has somehow collapsed in the middle so that's going to restrict the power a little. I don't know a big deal about it ,but yes, I'd say its a pretty plausible theory , Mark
  5. So it turns out it was excessive oil in the intercooler that was lowering the octane rating of the fuel.
  6. I can't answer half these questions, as I don't know enough about it. I never saw it blow any blue smoke with the old turbo but a friend claimed he saw a little bit a while ago. It might be an aftermarket intake pipe as its not running an AFM, I'm not sure. The car ran fine before I went to do this stage of upgrades.
  7. It's sabbadin automotive if people are wondering. I tried to get into JPC but they were being lazy, arrogant regards. Customer service was the worst I've seen. The tuners pulled the intercooler off and found oil in the bottom, so pretty sure the seals in the old turbo are stuffed. Cooler is getting sent away Monday to get cleaned. Hopefully fixes my issues.
  8. I assume it should be, they're professionals, they should know what they're doing. They didn't have time to try it today. They put fresh BP in but no time to tune it. Updates tomorrow.
  9. All odds must of been against me then if it is the fuel because I don't come to Melbourne often
  10. It's apparently running zero degrees timing. It's internal wastegate on the standard low mount manifold with the .82 housing. Shouldn't be pushing anymore than 16psi, max at the moment
  11. No they didn't mention the power it was making, I forgot to ask. The wastegate is set to 14 or 16psi. Its a standard headgasket, pretty sure They built the motor in the hands of the previous owner so i assumed they would of known what they were doing. I hope so anyway.
  12. I'm only quoting what they said. They're weren't 100% sure with what the mixture is.
  13. So my cars at the tuners getting the new GTX3076R put on with nismo 740cc injectors and exhaust. Its got a rebuilt bottom end with a re-co'd head. Its already got plenty of supporting mods such as Bosch 044 fuel pump, FMIC, Wolf 3D v4. Rang them up today to see how things are coming along and they say the cars detonating in the top end and they're not sure why. So they asked me what kind of fuel I put in it. I put in a fresh near full tank of Caltex 98 right before I took it to them. They seem to think that may be the problem as Caltex runs a different blend of ethanol, possibly? So they're going to drain the caltex and try BP ultimate tomorrow. Can I get some input please, this is kind of worrying me and I'm questioning they're abilities.
  14. Thanks, Kiwi! .2mm toe in all around I believe with factory castor and zero camber all around. Need to adjust that.
  15. What make/model of wheel is that in the photo, DarkRyda?
  16. Bugger! Sad face is on!
  17. Mine and a couple of mates cars
  18. Any of you Ballarat fellas interested on a cruise to Warnambool next friday night?? I live an hours west of Ballarat.
  19. I plan on getting the guards done soon. How much camber can these cars have before un-even tyre wear becomes visible?
  20. Its street driven "enthusiasts" car haha. I have 17's I'm buy drag radials for
  21. Can anyone atleast tell me how much fuel line I'm going to need to replace all three?
  22. Yeah the offset is right, its only because of zero degree camber. I plan on getting the guards rolled, putting probably 0.8 degress of camber in, maybe. Might even get harder springs
  23. What amount of camber comes standard with R33's?
