Thanks guys. Yep the R34 getrag definitely uses atf and I'm pretty sure that the transmax is a good substitute for the gearbox (from what I've read on the forums). I've heard it will take anywhere between 5-7L but since I have a 5L bottle sitting at home wasn't sure whether I should pick up another one for the mechanic in case they run short. Also not sure whether it can also be used for the transfer case because if so another bottle should just about cover the two. Thanks

Hi all, I'm getting a new clutch put in next week and was thinking to change out the gearbox and transfer case fluids while I'm at it. I've read mixed responses on various posts about Castrol Transmax Z being used in the just the gearbox, some say just the transfer case and some say both. Can anyone confirm which is correct? Also, i anyone can let me know how much fluid the transfer case and the gearbox take that would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone for their thoughts. Ended up sourcing a twin plate nismo gmax clutch from a forum member for an absolute steal and john will be fiiting it up next Monday. From what i've read up on these, they're completely different (inferior/older) than the coppermixes but will be more than what I'm running atm. Cheers

Do you have to add gst to the prices quoted on rhd or is it pay what is listed at the checkout and that's it?

May very well be a dumb question but can you modify the quad plate to run as a twin plate (ie removing the two additional plates)?How much are you looking for? Also is it likely to damage anything if I ran a quad on mine? Cheers

he's quoted me 550 for the install but supposedly the vspecs take a little longer because they've got to drop the rear diffuser and put it back on.

yep they do two models. the comp spec is only slightly more $ but rated higher. I think it may definitely be overkill for my purposes though. does anyone know how much extra i could be expecting in terms of customs duties?
