  1. R31 Power, I did as you suggested. No more hunting (even with O/2 feedback on). However, idle is now higher (something I can live with). Mike, I will try what you have suggested and post up the results. Thanks for the input people.
  2. Actually, on cruise the O/2 sensor does it's job well. Cycles up and down nicely and frequently at highway speeds. And once again, the hunting only happens when temperature approaches 80c. Enjoy the R32 mate. You owe me a spin next time I'm up your way.
  3. Richard, I did take it to a good PFC tuner to get tuned. I suppose they never picked up on it. How's the R and when's the R32 coming down? R31 Power, I'll give that a go. I'll post what I find. For those interested, while driving into work this morning stuck in traffic on the corner of LaTrobe and Spencer I turned O/2 Feedback "OFF". That fixed the hunting. Go figure? I guess I could always switch between closed loop on/off with the hand controller depending on the situation.
  4. Hey all, I have this continuing issue with my idle. Here's the relavant hardware. PowerFC, standard MAF, standard injectors. As water temperature approaches 80c the idle will go up to ~1300 and down to ~900. It only does it when water temp approaches 80c. Under ~75 or so it's fine (as in it doesn't hunt - its constant). At 90c the fans come on and idle once again stabilises (constant). When I play with the water temp correction values at 80c I can get it to hunt faster (it goes up and down faster) but I cannot get it to stay at one place. Ideas/Suggestions? P.S. I've seen a few post with people with similar type of problem. The difference is, mine only happens when it hits a certain temperature. Thanks.
  5. It's settled then... If you're a shit driver, get an auto. Otherwise, buy a manual Note: That's right, I'm joking
  6. That's unfortunate. I don't remember which Towing company I've used in ACT but I remember calling NRMA and they sent me a tow truck. They sent out a wrong tow truck at first, but in the end a flat-bed did arrive. I hope you get compensated for all the damage that's been done to your car.

  8. Compared to Sydney, yes. Compared to Melbourne, no. Driven on Tuggeranong Parkway lately (rated at 100). Compare that road to any Freeway in Melbourne (rated at 100). It's like comparing a loose gravel track to a bitumen road.
  9. I assume you were just checking to see if your speed limiter was still there, hey? I've been stopped on a routine inspection. Walked around my car, looked at the tyres, lights etc etc... They then asked for my license. Silly me, forgot my wallet at home on this particular day but I didn't realise it until I started checking all my pockets. After about 2 minutes of telling the officer "I'm sure it's in here somewhere" in my laptop bag he said, "I believe you" and let me go.
  10. I'm also from Melbourne, moved here back in 2002. Canberra is best described as "'six suburbs in search of a city" (My friends like to joke about it as "glorified Melton" - if you know what I mean) ;) Coming from Melbourne, my biggest gripes about driving here: People need to learn to keep left. The roads aren't good for those with aftermarket suspension. Watch out for Roo's at night. Where are the street lights (at some highways)? Watch out for the fixed red light and speed cameras in several intersections.
  11. Ming quoted me $300-400 to remove my Unichip. I went there for a laugh just to see how out they are with the real world. This was after I spoke to APS in Melbourne. They said, take it to any Unichip dealer, should only take 1 hour to do (max). So 1 hour labour = ~$80 Peter from Autotech wanted ~$80 Jake from Jakes Performance wanted ~$70 Nigel from Ice Performance in Melbourne did it for less than $45 So the moral of the story is, go to Ming, for a laugh :)

  16. Good luck (bitch). Remember to "lengthen your injector pulse 1 millisecond and you'd be running a 9's"
