hey everyone ive had a look around and im not too sure what the deal is but i was hoping someone with knowledge could say yes or no as to if the following is legal. Im a green p plater in nsw (yes haters u can start on me) The rb25de in my r33 was in real bad shape. So im in the middle of swapping it out for an rb25de neo from an r34 (write off) Am i legally aloud to drive the car whilst on my Ps. Ive heard that it is legal aslong as you swap it for what was in it or another factory option for that model. But the neo didnt come in the 33 as we all know. But its still an rb25de? My other question is due to the new motor at rego time i will need to get a blue slip once again? correct? and to get said blue slip will i need to get an engineers certificate for the new engine (it is remaing stock for the time being) Thanks everyone.

looking to get my hands on an r34 ecu to run my manual rb25de neo in my r33. ecu must be for rb25de neo (non turbo) and be for a manual gearbox. located in newcastle. postage or pickup is fine if local.

Just bought a neo engine for my 33. To my advantage the engine has splitfire coil packs but they wrre secured with packing foam. Is there a difference to where the coil packs bolt in? Is there like a craddle like on the r33 engine? Where can I get the craddle if there is one.

full as in covers interior and tail lights and all that shit?

chookie if she is alright with it ill organise a lift around some time (my 33 has no engine) and have a look and take some pics for comparison. really keen to get mine going.

does anyone in newcastle have an na r34 that i can have a look at to figure a couple of things out engine wise?

saw a black/dark maron (im colourblind fml) r33 s1 gts with p plates on it at around 4pm at the marylands shops in newcastle. nice and clean.

as the title says. need a new one before i put the new engine in my 33. on the attached image the solenoid has a blue-ish connector (im colourblind though), mine has a green-ish colour to it. part is off the rb25de neo (non turbo) im in newcastle but im happy to pay postage.

legend. skyline is begining its rebuild today due to there being a dead lemon under the hood. while im rewiring my ecu and splicing looms ill be sure to throw the alarm system in.

hey everyone. after the rb25 in my 33 died ive decided ill do a neo conversion for the hell of it so i need to get my hands on an r34 ecu and the engine loom to suit. car will be manual and non turbo so i need ecu/loom to suit. i live in newcastle nsw but im happy to pay a bit more to get it posted or ill even go to sydney to get the bits.

hey everyone after the mechanic told me some part of my crank shaft is busted (key way or something) im going for a rb25de neo conversion. so i have a pretty much good condition r33 engine soon to come out of my car. Happy to split once i have enough people interested in parts. Everything on it is stock so good to pass rego with? Engine had approximately 140,000 km on it. Injectors were just cleaned by J.C Hill in morriset. can provide receipts for them. Also once i find an r34 engine loom and ecu, my r33 loom and ecu will be up for grabs. ecu is also one of the rarer spec s ones that has 149kw for the non turbos. Only parts off engine that wont be available will pretty much be starter motor as i need that. Located in newcastle but happy to post small parts. PM or text me on 0423286614. i buy used tyres for the rear of the skyline. i pay 50 bucks per tyre fitted in morriset and then the tyre lasts me up to 3 months.

gonna be a while till anyone sees me out and about. all my time and money when im not at uni is going into the skyline.

every time i fix something, something else breaks. every time i take it to the mechanic they find another 50 problems. however i havent really gotten my way with the car yet.

nothing breaks down as much as my skyline.

oh okay. as far as ive read the motor will bolt in. either way ill have the old motor and new one side by side and a mechanic on hand. long as the engine mounts line up.

yeah from what ive looked into it will work. what do you mean by long motor? my current motor is the rb25de

hey everyone. ive done a bit of research into this but there are a few details i cant find. im planning on running an rb25de neo engine with my r33 gts gearbox. will this work and if so what clutch setup do i recquire? not planning on going to a HD clutch as its just a daily. also i know i need to rewire two sensors which are the AAC and somehting else. do i need to get the plugs off a r34 or? and finally will it run normally off my r33 ecu like everyone says or will i need to get the ecu reflashed as quickly as possible. im sure there will be more to ask but that will be later. cheers.

ive found an n/a neo engine down in sydney for 400 bucks. going to try and get the price down to 300. engine has been out of the guys car for 3 months so it may need a clean up but for that price im keen. just looking forward to having my baby back on the road and hopefully having a neo in it will bump the value up.

if the motor is still available ill be down asap to get it.

motor in the skyline has crapped out for now so in the mean time im pretty much going to start a fresh with it so i wont make the cruise or any cruise in the next 3 months probably.

ill only get 500 bucks for the skyline. not worth selling. ive found an rb25de neo engine but im waiting for a price.

got a call from the mechanics this morning. they found that my crank shaft is buggered and my cheapest option is to put a new motor in it. so im looking for a new motor. as far as i know the car is an series 1.5. so in that im pretty sure its running a series 2 motor. i live in newcastle so id like to find one nearby. and yes ive looked into rb30de conversions but im not overly interested in that.

head is still good as far as i know. i have a friend who has an rb30 kicking around which im interested in. what would go into pairing them up and then what are the legalities around it?
