Who can do these leak tests guys? I live out central western NSW, and a mate has a GTS-T. He tells me that he things he has done a seal, and that the oil is comming out the dipstick. He recently turned up his boost to 10spi. I don;t trust the local mechanics, So who would you advise him in Sydney to check his car out? CRD ? SAS? anyone esle?

Hi guys, I have a set of only 4 x 440cc GTR injectors for sale. I bought them originally for my Nissan Pulsar GTi-R, thinking they were 550cc injectors. What a fool did I feel. I haven't used them, I can only trust the word of the person I bought them off in saying they worked fine. Anyway, I am about to put them on ebay forsale with a starting price of $200 plus postage. Hi guys, I am just enquiring. I can't remember if i saw the thread here or another skyline site. But someone had a Bad Traders Page, Where names, details, bank accounts, emails etc , were all listed. Was that here ? Or somewhere else? I am only enquiring because I am part of the GTi-R Oz forum ( I was looking to buy a skyline, but bought the R instead..sorry..lol ). I am not a Skyline owner, but i do own a pulsar gti-r, and all us guys for the gti-r forum send our condolences to there families and friends. No matter what they were doing or how stupid they might have been driving, someone has lost the sons and daughters. And at the worst time of the year, comming upto Xmas. This is a wakeup to remind us that there is a time and place. Again our sympathys to those involved.

Yep, we all hate the old tax squeeze, but this bloke gets around it. Not sure I can say it here though. When my brother bought his HP, he even got a world wide HP warrenty. Hope you sell yours though mate. And when you need to get another, might want to add him to your favourites for refference. He is hard to find. I found him by fluke. Throw yours on ebay, so many often pay more for items at auctions. Worth a shot. Good luck

I don't really want to rain on you here uneekwahn. But I can get a brand new sony for $2300 - $2400 approx off a bloke in America. My brother bought a HP off him for $1600. ps:..i don't know him personally, or get anything if someone buys off him. Just thought you guys should know about him. Unfortunately PC prices drop quicker than car prices. If you do sell it , then keep this bloke in mind when you are looking for a new one. He was very easy to deal with. I totally agree with you Duncan, My uncle owns a Ford, Nissan,Hyundi and BMW dealerships in Orange (alas no performance imports) So i know the crap he has to deal with. And import dealers have alot more to do as you said. I was checking the prices from Prestige Motorsports, for there auctions and when you factor in everything, you can pay almost the same from a dealer here (who you can trust) and you get to drive , sit, look and checkout the car before you hand over your cash. All for about the same as they are asking to import ones now. Plus you get a warrenty The only main difference i see in importing is you can get cars that have all the mods on, but, if its a not 15y/o car, these mods now have to be removed prior to compliancing anyway. Yes you can put them back on, but theres that labour cost on putting a second hand part back onto your car that you aren't sure about in the first place. Oh and regarding the Budget Duncan, I will have the cash to fix what may go wrong with whatever car i do decide to get, its just that I am not a patient man , and couldn't be bothered saving for a couple of months to have a few grand extra. I would rather borrow now, have some fun and pay the loan of in extra quick time. Heres a quicky for you though. What do you guys think of the pulsar GTi-R? Are they prone to problems as much as the skylines? I don't mind them either and like I said before, I am open to all options on what car I get as long as its Got a turbo, its an import and it looks good. But I am not shallow :wassup:

I could have, but I would hate to have someone lie to me . I could have put in a low klm speedo and no one would be the wiser. But i think we all hate these sorts of car dealers, I hope we don't stoop to there depths. Even if it wasn't a taxi I still wouldn't get too much more for this model. I will see how i go on monday with a few dealers. maybe i should lie to them, give them some of there own back. :jk:

Thanks for all the advice. Looks like i will be staying clear of Envy. Thanks duncan, those at Powerplay look real nice but just outta price range. I am thinking that since i have finance approved for $15k, I might ask Unique if they wanna finance me $20k and get me a GTR....yummmmyyyyy. Think i would rather a GTR for 25k than a gts-t for same price. With that performance who needs mods. plus i can insure it for $850 full comprehensive......hmmmmm....even better huh thanks again guys for all your advice. heres hoping i be a skyline own real soon

Hey guys, does anyone have or use a Kill Switch in there skyline? I know this doesn't stop cars being towed, but can piss off thieve enought to leave the car there if they can't find where the Kill Switch is. And how many use Quick Trac? This seems a great anti-thieft device.

the last time i was in Sydney, just over 6 months ago, looking at imports, one dealer said sure you can test drive, Once i put down a deposite. Like I went back there again. :throwup:

Thanks Blitz, I was budgeting for around $19k mark with my trade. Got finance aproval for $15k I guess I could always see if the dealers are willing to do a better deal on finance and maybe go a little higher. theres an idea..lol

Thanks guys, I wasn't out to bag Envy, I am just tring to norrow down who to look at in Sydney before I get there next Monday, As I won't have alot of time to waste with no hopers. And I saw a couple of cars I thought looked half decent on there web site. I would love to just pay cash for a members car because I know I won't get ripped off ( i would hope so anyway :jk: ). But i have an Olf 95 ef falcon with heeps and heeps of KLM's on board which i want to get rid of in the proccess, and i have found it hard to see it privately. So I will definately check out Prestige. Any other dealers? Come on guys, You are all driving around in your great skylines. You must have seen some decent cars in deals yard that you can say might be worth a second look. I won't be leaving for Sydney till early Monday morning (3.5 hr drive) so I will check back to see what you guys have said Cheers

HI Carlo, The reason I haven't joined is I didn't know I could join. I didn't see any links to say that I could become a SAU member, other than to join the forum. If there is a link, I couldn't find it, and I did look. So to be honest it's not standing out for us new forum members to see if it is there. I am looking to buy a Skyline very soon, and would love to join your club. Even thought I live out Central West NSW, I would like the opportunity to join when I get my car. Hope this helps David

I have seen 4 R33 gtr's advertised in Prestige Motorsports web site in there sold vehicls section. They ranged from $33,000 to $41,000 Aus dollars. These prices included compliancing and all import cost. This is what they said about one of there import R33 GTR 's - "The following vehicle has just come into stock with a supplier in Japan for 1,885,000 yen FOB. The cost in Australia is estimated to be $39,600. We have included the cost of shipping, import duties, GST, compliance and our service fee in this estimate. Not included is the cost of tyres, Govt. stamp duty and registration (normal licensing costs for any vehicle). " 1,885,000 yen = $ 17,078.14 US dollars so you could give them a call and see if they can help you search for the car you need. But i hear import cost to the US are huge. I am traveling to Sydeny in the next week or 2, and am in the market for a good tidy Skyline GtS-t. Can you guys tell me who are the good dealers to check out plzzz.... i will have about $20,000 to spend including my trade. Old 95 EF falcon. I want someone thats not going to give me a burnt out thrashed car that will die a week later. Someone who if something does go wrong, can be trusted to fix the problem.
