  1. Nice, and remember the R34! Let us know how it goes mate.
  2. Have a read of these threads. Plenty of guys here have successfully installed them into their R33's. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...T&f=61&t=123289 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...ST&f=61&t=62252
  3. imagine you have an alarm also? and you're not going to be running your system at full blast for extended periods of time with the engine switched off? You'd get away with a 500cca lead type battery ... i had a similar setup in my previous beast (kicker 354xi amp, 12" rockford, stacker/hu, a few electronic gizmos) and i ran a similar battery without ever any startup problems. The main reasons why you'd want to step up to a gel cell or fully sealed system are: - often are deep cycle - don't leak gas - no maintenence - can relocate into the boot - often can be smaller than factory battery (talking only about the optimas and odysseys here) - greater cranking capacity downsides are of course ... cost. Hope this helps you. edit> in summary... don't be tight.. go the > 500cca lead-acid as bare minimum, go the gel cell if you need that overhead.
  4. The ones you've listed are still lead-acid maintenance batteries. I'd imagine you could go anywhere for that sort of stuff (big w's, repco, supercheap) etc. I can't really tell you what you need for your setup, but if you're looking at replacing the stock battery then you ought to be looking around the 330cca mark (well that's what was in my stock r34).
  5. any chance you can throw that animation up on youtube.com ?? that site doesn't want to download for me.
  6. What size are they? How much tread? Also you need to post a rough price on this forum mate.
  7. There's a group buy on Calcium batteries 550cca sealed items which would fit your R33 alright. you might need new clamps from repco or something though, it's quite a bit beefier but not *too* big. Other than that, maybe odyssey or red top optimas.. but now u're talking a few hundred dollars.
  8. Bad news for Late model Stagea and R34 owners. The terminals on this are the wrong way around. And it doesn't look like the positive cable will stretch that far. spewing.
  9. Definately interested in the terminals too Jerry. As per our conversation, i'll check if the positive cable reaches on the R34 GTT tonight when i get my car back from the audio installer. I'll also try to post a few pictures. Stand by.
  10. Guys ! I think i've found the Terminals online for those interested. http://www.batterymart.com/battery.mv?p=ODY-3217-0006 Tell me if these are correct. Except i don't know if they ship to Australia. Maybe we can use that product code to find it here.
  11. Yeah can we can an update on pricing and availability please? I'm after one to fit the R34, so i think it's been mentioned the terminals might be the other way around from the R33/R32.
  12. I'll keep that in mind *howie moves away*
  13. LOL.... i had a similar thought like that just before you posted. Aight... see ya in my Diahatsu Charade fellas! LOL kidding.
  14. My credit card's gonna get a hammering. Need a new battery soon, so i'll most likely be down.
  15. Worked sweet guys... took about 10 minutes to do. Now might be time for me to wire up a switch, but i think i might leave it on like that and see how fuel consumption goes. At first, i didn't feel it, but then after some testing, my gauge was reading about 7psi before 4500rpm and i found highway driving quite pleasant . Great stuff.. thanks for this free mod.
  16. I was, but i think i might have changed my mind. Still looks lovely mate. Cheers
  17. Here is the working image attachment. Rims look sweet on the stagea mate.
  18. That's cool. No your link still isn't working. Try emailing it to me [email protected] and i'll reupload it here or host it for you.
  19. No i mean as in when I click on that attachment link i get Try saving it as a jpeg rather than a bmp and reuploading.
  20. Sounds good... what's the benefit of a Calcium battery btw?
  21. hehe.. He was indeed, but you prol guessed that being @ arndale. Had custom plates with something 33.
  22. That's noice!!! Looks like they had fun building it.
  23. saw a White R33 GTR today, pulling into Centro Arndale at around 5:00pm.
