  1. Digging up an old one. Anyone out their who has rebuilt some Bilsteins? I have seen a DUI thread and it doesn't seem all to difficult, only problem being regassing them which I have a found a bike shop that would do it (I think). I have an old set hear I picked up for cheap that I was going to muck around with, anyone want to give me some tips?
  2. Yeah, each. Seems alright considering the price I paid for them and the cost of new ones.
  3. They are out of a 32 GTR so they are not 400R? Could they be copies? I can't seem to find anything like them when I have done a search. They are quite a few years old though. If anyone was wondering. Fulcrum quoted $195 for a rebuild assuming no major components had failed and $215.to get them revalved.
  4. 400R, made in Japan? Has anyone used these and now what they are like?
  5. Heard that they tend to last a lot longer and seem to be easier to get rebuilt or revalved. Just got a set which have done 80000kms +, no leaks etc. How long should these be good for before I will need to start looking at a rebuild or should I get it done before fitting them? After doing a search they look like they are Bilstein Nismo coilovers for 32 GTR? (Blue casing, yellow ring around the bottem with bilstein written on it.)
  6. Springs/shocks put on stock struts or height adjustable coilovers?
  7. Anyone get an answer for this? Got some cheap coilovers but they need a rebuild.
  8. Again did a search but got mixed answers. Mate has a pair of coilovers that I can have but is unsure whether its a 33 or 32 they are out of. Will they still fit my 32 if they are from a 33? People say no, but then others have said they have done it. Suppposedly the top bolts are orinetated wrong. If you have done this what modifications did you need to make to get it to fit?
  9. Done a search and I presume I should be looking for gtr coilovers? WIll the Gtst coilovers fit, have mixed reports. Some say front will fit but rear not. Some say no altogether. Mate has a set of front coilovers lying around from a long time ago that I can have but is unsure what model they are from (gtr or gts), any way of telling or will it not matter?
  10. Yeah thanks, was trying to hunt around for a cheap one. They seem to be quite expensive for what they are. Seen a writeup on how to do it, doesn't seem too difficult.
  11. Yeah I had already looked at what is required to replace it and I am pretty sure it is a cable? He has had it for 6 months and reckons it stopped working soon after he got it. He hasn't done the timing belt but the guy who he bought it off did a major service before selling it so I presume it would have been done then. There is a big pile of receipts from the previous owner so I will go through them and see what the go is I guess.
  12. Was looking at a 32 gts4 and he said the speedo had recently stopped (most likely the cable snapped). I was wondering if the odometer would still run? The car only has 120000km's on it. The interior condition does match this, no wear marks on seats/stearing wheels. The body is in pretty mint condition too, no fading paint etc.
