  1. thats exactly what I got. sticker is a different colour to a Bosch packaged item. My mesh was also slightly out of wack too when I pulled it out the box.
  2. what motor is it? RB20 or RB25? if your looking to do a turbo upgrade, there are more things to factor in than just a cooler upgrade. the ecu would need to be modified or replaced, possible injector upgrade, a larger fuel pump, a stronger clutch, air filter upgrade etc etc.
  3. the cheap generic 600x300x76mm intercoolers are fine. Im sure LOTS of SAU'ers use them. a $300 turbo on the other hand, not so great.
  4. if u want aftermarket, which i presume you do, Turbosmart veeport or type II is excellent. I have one, never leaks, car never stalls and i have owned it 5 years.
  5. gotcha! thanks. i didnt think Nissan and Bosch made different AFMs. i thought all of them were made by Bosch but badged Nissan. Thanks for that.
  6. ie, I spoke to Nissan and the part number does not exist on their system. Does that mean Nissan cant get a Nissan 300ZX AFM?
  7. the part number on my "Z32 AFM" wasnt even a Nissan part number.
  8. i purchased a dodgy "chinese" AFM. i will check the part number on the side of it tomorrow and let you know if it matches.
  9. yeah, got a mate who works at nissan. will get him to bring a gauge home tonight to check it. SK, will try that also tonight. cheers.
  10. yeah half throttle or less, car runs fine doesnt miss or anything. pump is still noisy though. once you put your foot into it, as it comes up on boost, it feels like a big fuel surge and the car doesnt rev. almost feels like it hits a fuel cut. I have no been on the same pump for about 6wks. Would a f*cked pump last that long? The weird thing is it drives fine off boost. Pump is noisy when the car is hot, and even early in the morning when its cold. Injectors are 740cc and ECU is PFC with a Z32 AFM.
  11. Agreed, TurboSmart Veeport or Type II as they are also called, is the best and probably only atmo BOV I will ever use. In 6 years of using one, I have never had a drama with stalling or rough idle.
  12. Oh, and that picture of the Commodore, did anyone else see the "Crabs, Caught Daily" sign in the backround? Surely you had a giggle at that one mitcy?!
  13. i took a hit in the rear in my r33 and it was written off and was no where near as bad as this. i know the feeling mate, hard luck indeed. see if u can buy the wreck back off the insurance company then strip it down :-) R33 GTR upgrade now?
  14. I have upgraded my turbo/ecu/injectors/cooler/fuel pump on my R33 GTS25t but have kept the stock fuel reg. my car is not running properly on any more than half throttle, but fine with anything less than that. the fuel pump is very noisy (Bosch 040) and is the 3rd brand new pump I have used. I am convinced its not the pump or the pump install. My question is, could the car be in need of an adjustable fuel reg with the level of mods? Could not having an adjustable fuel reg cause any problems and what might the symptoms be? I have had all these mods fitted with 400rwhp in sight but due to this problem I have not been able to drive the car for nearly 2mths and its getting very annoying. before the mods were fitted the stock fuel pump and fuel reg were in 100% working order. About a week after fitting the mods, the problems started. Can anyone offer any advice?
  15. after reading that, I WOULDNT recommend..... 1. A R33 GTR, because you dont like the shape of an R33 2. A S15, because, well, you said it, its not a Skyline! 3. a M3, because, its not Japanese, difficult and expensive to modify, followed closely by a frowning face..... So i WOULD recommend...... 1. A R32 GTR. They represent EXCELLENT value in the market, especially with so many to choose from 2. A R34 GT-t. Late model comforts, good daily driver, cheap to modify, easy to find in stock, un-thrashed and original condition. My 2c.....
  16. truuuu, can u pass on your contact number and I will come collect off ya. thanks mate!
