  1. Not really, it missed a little on the dyno at 650hp and tuner backed off at 7200rpm and said try colder plugs. At the track it missed like a bitch. I was gonna try plugs and knock the boost down a couple of points.
  2. Sorry to revive old thread but it looks like I need to order in some colder plugs for my 650hp e85 set up as I am getting breakdown at the track at 28psi running bcpr7es What should I order. Seems bcpr8es have been discontinued. What are other drag/circuit cars running these days and at what gap? Cheers for the help.

  4. Quick vid of how ridiculously quick it gets on transbrake. Remember it's a 25.
  5. Yep 6870 with split .84 Rev limit set at 8000 but it made that power at about 7500.
  6. Finally had the tune... So stoked for the little rb25 with 647 hp @ wheels on 28psi. It actually comes on the converter 200rpm sooner than the to4z. I need cooler plugs and a bigger wastegate and it should make 700hp pretty easy as the 647 was with early shut off cos of break down and boost creep.
  7. Has this thread been posted in here? http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-dyno-tuning-results/705934-daniel-s-pte-6870-teaser-807whp-plenty-go.html
  8. Yeah but dynos are fickle creatures. I made 496hp with a to4z on 23 psi and ran 142 mph when everyone was saying to4z's were dinosaurs. With this motor I expect to only run 26-28 psi and hope for 150 mph with the 6870. Later on when I build a big motor it will see 30+. What I liked about what the yanks were saying about this turbo is the fact I won't need nos to get an 1100hp turbo on the trans brake and potentially only marginally more lag than the to4z. And at $2970. Bargain compared to a gtx42r.
  9. I think the record for an rb25 is 9.06. But we will see. My motor is very tired. (10years old)
  10. 6870 on rb25. It's a drag car but will post results when I get round to it. Ran 9.50@142mph with to4z.
  11. Ball bearing, split pulse .70 exhaust housing. Polished Comp cover. 66mm comp wheel. Have .84 exhaust housing to suit also with t3 split pulse. Gcg xtr modified, made my rb25 run 9's for many years and take out modified compact class at 2014 jamboree. Selling to go large frame turbo. $1200 Ono Will freight anywhere. [email protected] or pm
  12. I can't get my head around how a 6870 can make more power than a 7275? Are they going to make a gen2 71 or 72mm turbo?
  13. Can anyone tell me what this hole in the rb30 block is/was for? There are two in the block I picked up for my build. One was blocked one wasn't???
  14. I'm sending my rb30 block away for machining soon to be prepped for 2530det. Just wondering when do you start thinking billet girdle and caps. I'm aiming at 800hp with a 42r.
  15. Just a wuss I spose. And waiting on a morristech igniter to try and get to 25 psi. The difference between 21psi and 22.5 psi was 2mph does this seem high, low or indifferent. Just thinking 1.00 hsg and 25psi might net a decent gain?
  16. The motor is 8 years old and very tired so as I said I'm not too keen on pushing much more boost. I will go up to 25psi if I have to but looking for other ways to make easy power.
  17. Thanks mate good info there. Has anyone changed their exhaust housing before that can post results? Doesn't have to be t04z, just interested. I have a mate with a 2.7l 4cyl that runs a 1.15 instead of his original .84 so he could run more boost but rb info is better.
  18. Hello, I have been running a t04z with a .70 exhaust housing on my rb 25 at 22.5psi (140mph) for a while and have been thinking about upgrading to a bigger turbo to try push for 145 mph (parachute territory) but I am hesitant to run much more boost. Maybe 25psi tops. So was wondering weather going to a 1.00 exhaust housing would net me enough top end at 25 psi to not warrant the cost of a bigger turbo? Does a bigger housing allow more power at the same boost? Lag doesn't bother me as this is a drag car. Any ideas or feedback is welcome.
