Hey Folks,

Over the past few days the Stag hasn't been its usual self...

The main 'obvious' thing is when the turbo is hitting full boost (spikes to 12 then sits flat at 10psi) but you havnt got your foot flat, just enough for it to hit full boost, the turbo is cutting in and out... Sought of a bumping basically. When the foot is flat to the floor it will just hit 10 psi and sit flat, doesnt cut in and out...

Now, what the hell is it? Kinda annoying me...Anything serious? Or just a minor issue? Has only been doing it since we installed the bleed valve.

Got the same idiosyncrasy (sic) on mine after I installed a Powerup MBC. It spikes to 11psi when you stab the fun flipper then it settles back to 10.

An R33 mate reckons it is b/c of the length of tube running to the MBC is too long and turbo is overboosting ( as per my setting ) before the MBC registers and actuates the wastegate.

Dont know if this is true or not, but it doesnt seem to worry it at all and I havent popped any hoses yet.

But it is all the more reason for me to get that Jaycar IEBC sooner then later.

Right, my old man was driving my car, about 3000rpm just starting to spool hard and "Psssssttttt" kinda like a blow off valve. Didnt sound right though, so we pulled over to see whats the problem. popped the hood and gave it a rev. Turbo isnt spooling anymore! Not at all! I think I may have blown a hose somewhere given the noise. Please please help me. Cannot drive it in its current state

My first guess would be an intercooler hose has blown off, check them all.

      What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2.       I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.

      Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.

      Another vote for installing them and see how you go.  I mean, you already own them, why would you not fit them?

      I have had too many of those over the years, my cars have a toolkit or at minimum a cheapy multi tool thing because its too easy to be snookered by some stupid plastic clip that stops you checking the battery terminal isn't loose.
