Ive just been informed by my local fat boy pizza making bogan that my car is in fact a "godzilla wagon" its running full "godzilla running gear and godzilla engine" but in a "f@#kin wagon" hahaa i tried to let him know thats the RS260 but what i have is an RS4 which runs the RB25DET not the "godzilla" RB26DETT engine and it does have AWD but not the same as the "godzilla" . big difference between the 2

hahahaha poor bogan then starts laughing going 'F@#kin ricers dun even know bout there own f@#kin cars" "nevermind drive em hahaha" .... as i was jus amased he recognised a Stagea (bogan pronunciation-" star gear " (not bad tho ...was surprised he could even read) i asked where he had heard about them as there fairly uncommon .... " f@#k man!! grand tourismo on playstation ... dun you know anything??"hahahhaaha i laughed my ass off

poor bugger... but he makes a great pizza tho hahhahaa !!

whenever i take my car to someone other than my usual mechanic they always seem to think i have a 1.8L engine in it...

i always say "it's like a skyline wagon" they say "oh, so is that the 1.8L?"

i didn't think skylines ever came with a 1.8L, except the R32 that had the CA18 in it, and i'm pretty sure no one imports those

1.8L...what the hell?

Yes, 32's came with CA's but they are about as much as RB20's....which are slow anyway...sooo yes no one imports them :(

To be honest, i learnt heaps of names of cars and specs and stuff from PS, but ive never like put it in practice that an intercooler is +45hp and shit. I found Stageas on PS when i was younger and i was like "cool"

... now i own one :(

I haven't touched my PS for years, and because of this I can't remember ever having seen one when I played GT. I do remember owning an R32 GTSt, GTS4, GT-R, and an R33 GT-R four-door, amongst other cars...

Hmmm, might have to pull the PlayStation out again and get re-aquainted with Gran Tourismo. Either that or finally invest in a PS2, even tho the PS3 will probably be out by the end of the year...

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
