I went to get

H3c globes form a place in Melb that is one of the only to have these as Oz shops (auto1 etc.. ) don't have these yellow sort of globes.

I need 1 as one of mine blew... and since then the model has changed so i need 2 of them.

now the price for each of these was... $120 each.

$240 ALL up... for two yellow style globes.

There has tobe a place i can get them cheaper?

i'd pay upto 50-60 bucks

Not R32...

i got an R31 with the projector head lights.

The globes were PIAA H3c

Auto one... repco... bursons... don't have the yellow ones in that model.

Probably becuase they are illegal... but i want them anyway cause the light they gave off was better than Oz Spec white globes...

The plain white one for mine were about $10.

H3C - yeah i looked everywhere in adelaide for these and asked on the r31 forums. i wanted some blue tint ones :D

only could either get the navara standard globes or there are apparently multicoloured 'autotechnica' globes which apparently are shite (dont last long)

I was wondering when this would come up.

H3c is the same as H3, except it has two prongs at the back for power, instead of one wire that a H3 globe has.

From the baseplate forward (Towards the bulb) They are the same, even to the point that a H3 globe will fit perfectly where a H3c sits.

All you need to do is solder a earth wire onto the baseplate, then plug it back into the stock connector.

I have fitted H3 PIAA Plasma blues into a R32 projector lens that is meant to have H3c globes. Was a 10min job.

EDIT: I know what I am talking about, yet it did not sound right when typed! Lol.

Dragon...

Thanks dude!

MOST helpful.

I will probably do that... but i've got a guy who knows someone in Japan and he's trying to get some H3c globes.

If he can't get them then i'll probably just change it to H3's then.

And i'll take them if i do.

I'll let ya know

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
