Hey all..

Live in Melbourne,

I got m R34GTT roughly 6 months ago, havent had really time to get onto the forums but anyway, its a:

Skyline R34GTT

pretty much standard except a catback, and a blitz pod.

For the 6 months that ive had it ive been really happy with it, love the performance, awsome car etc..

Will love to post some pics but dont know how so if i could send an email to someone to post them up 4 me, it would great. Ill try 2 though.

By the way i had a little encounter with my dream car an R32 GTR on the freeway. I just couldnt help the temptation :P , iknow it was stupid but it was very empty and the oppertunity was there...

So we were rolling from about 100kmh in 3rd, so we went for it and to my surprise we nudged a nose in front half way through 3rd by 4th his front was allign with my doors until the limiter stoped me.

Can anyone explain how this could happen, i thought i would have gotten owned, he did have exhaust but i guess he was stock elsewhere.

And yes i can tell the difference b/w a gtst and GTR.

I cant wait to go on some cruises with you guys.

cheers :P

Dino, welcome to the forums. I will start by saying you won't make any friends on here with stories of speeding and racing in any circumstances on the street. Very dangerous and brings all other skyline drivers under extra scrutiny. In reponse to your question though the R32 are a lot older car and I doubt that the one you were next to was modified or well tuned or maintained.

Ohhh sorry i didnt know, it wont happen again.

I just wanted to introduce myself and show u guys a pic,

but anyway thanks for the replies.

ps. should i delete that part in my intro

Too late, you're already busted. the law surfs this forum. :D

Anyway a stock GTR is heavier and has about the same power as you so clearly is at a disadvantage, but has greater potential overall. Mine does 0-100 in 4.02s and 40m on the stock computer, but it's a 33 GTR and not some busted arse old 32 :D

Welcome anyway and come to a club meeting, oh and keep the racing on the circuit.

BTW if a 32 GTR is your car of choice why buy a 34GTt? 32's are dead cheap now.

    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
