An intercooler helps reduce the charge temperature post turbo before entering the inlet into the engine.

You can make them 'legal' by having it installed properly or 'engineered'.

Run a search this has been covered many hundreds of times.

If you're unsure of how turbochargers work, I suggest you go to www.howthingswork.com and check out the auto section.

(BTW if you're leaving your skyline pretty stock, there's probably not much point upgrading from the standard intercooler, again, run a search.)

how much power you want?

if you don't want more than what the stock turbo can produce (200 - 220rwkw) why not buy an R34 GTT intercooler.

is 15% thicker and has been proven to be efficient at those levels.

AND, is a direct bolt on replacement for the stock side mount intercooler.

no-one will ever know..

cost of cooler is about $150 max.. nothing else required.

unbolt the factory one, bolt this straight back in it's place
