Last week i got my Blitz Intercooler and i thought the piping came polished, to my disappointment it didnt and the finish looked very ordinary.

Below is a pic of the piping AFTER i sanded it back with wet&dry and gave it a buff. Just interested what you guys think, and if anyone would like me to do theirs for them.

Or plenum etc

Just out of curiosity how much does this usually cost to get done in a shop? I want to know what i saved doing it myself.

i like it.

When you sanded it back what grade of paper were you using?

Also for more coarse surfaces like crossover pipe/plenum.should a more coarse wet/dry paper be used to penetrate?then get it smoother with the smooth stuff then buff??

When they bent the pipe the outside 'stretched' and went all rippled so i had to start with 600 grade paper, then move up 800, 1000, and finally 1200. Took a while to get the bumps out. but yeh you need to get a smooth flat surface before you start with the finer stuff otherwise it will take you weeks to get any results with 1200 grade paper, then if you have access give it a buff to make it nice and shiny. If you live in Sydney i can probably give it a quick buff for you.

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
