mines gold plate on ecu.??

removed kick panel to view ecu and to my surprise there is this mines gold plate,top of plate says,garantee plaque and at bottom MINES #4140!!!!!what does this mean? ecu has a chip maybe? has anyone else seen this on there ecu?.....thanks.....

thats it's a mines ecu, that was tuned for the car for the specific parts it had, pretty much chiped to most likley to improve fuel management, and other things basically getting as much from the car as possible for the stock systems. Mines ecu are the best and are as tweaked as much as possible. Free Power !!!

Tufr33: Have you dynoed your car to check and see if the mixtures are safe? I am just wondering, if in Japan the car had some performance mods that were stripped before being sold, the computer could have been tuned for those mods and not the stock items. I am not trying to dampen your find, just bring into light the engines safety. I would hate to see an R33 have a heart attack!

I"ve heard people, have had some success tuneing them but these guys were for japan...some people also say you can send it back to mines with details of your mods and specific model number, and they can add and retune the ecu. Would probably have to have some jap contacts.

had the 33 dyno'd and the mixtures were pretty good it was putting out 170 rwkw with stock cooler, turbo (not sure),pod filter,kakimoto exhaust,cat removed,and @ only 8-9 boost,now have dual stage boost controler..low 8.....high 12......dyno @ 12 may give me 180-190!!!!!!what you think!!!!!??????
