A friend told me about his mates dad, he got pulled over and booked for doing 1kph over the speed limit 67kph by this traffic copper here in adelaide, mind you the guy booked is about50 yrs old, he pleaded to the cop to have a little compassion and give him a warning, but the copper said too late mate i've written the fine out, he took the fine and proceeded to go to his car and get his fine pad out..... btw he is an occupational health and safety officer, he wrote a fine out for $825 and gave it to the police officer and said, it is 8pm and you failed to wear reflective clothing so here is your fine mate, enjoy...........

Good story but... LMAO.

Yes here in SA a nice mr. moto bike police man said >=9km/h you will be fined, this was quite a few years ago now.

Really? That's better than the 10% i heard about. So 66 in 60, 88 in 80 or 110 in 100. Then again looking at that they all fall almost within the 9km/h :D

Yer not sure about the 10% this was quite a few years ago, I think over 5yrs as that was my last speeding ticket. :D Never received one in the skyline. :D

The moto cop said 9km/h over in a 60. I actually did 78 but he marked it down to 69 just to be a nice bloke. lol. :P

Busky in Vic, I think it's anything over 3km with the radar camera. I got my first speeding fine ever in Melb 2 months ago doing 106 on their 100kph highway. Damn Victorian system tainted my clean driving record :D

For him to write such a fine he need to be an Workplace Services inspector and yes I think he can legally do this but not sure about the 800+ fine. I know a couple of them in SA. They are quite powerful in the work force. They can do a lot more damage than just a simple fine. The story is quite inspirational and it's a great method to pay back dodgy workshop that rip you off guys. Just call the inspector or Workplace SA and make report on unsafe activities/tools that you see in the workshop. If there are enough reliable reports they will come down to investigate/issue improvement or prohibition notices :D

    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.

    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
