If you get the chance to purchase this book, then get it. Awesome amount of good info in there, and a very funny read. I found this interesting, and it might help you guys find out if these faults have already been fixed in Japan.

Problem - Fuel pump control module may not be earth correctly resulting in rough running or engine failure.

Cars affected - BNR34-403990 - BNR34-404216

Has been fixed if - there is yellow paint on the left hand side of the vehicle type plate.

Problem - Brake light switch may be faulty

Cars affected - all model built between 25 May 1999 and 31 March 2003

Has been fixed if - there is yellow paint on the side of the brake pedal.

Problem - ABS controller is defective and may activate ABS when not needed

Cars affected - HR34-000201 - HR34-003487, ER34-0000122 - ER34-015425

Has been fixed if - there is yellow paint beside the vehicle type plate.

Problem - ABS may activate when not necessary because of increased resistance of the electrical terminals inside ABS control unit.

Cars affected - HR34-003488 - HR34-004568, ER34-015429 - ER34-018924

Has been fixed if - There is yellow paint on the left side of the vehicle type plate.
