Would it be possible to incorporate braided houses into this.

Say I puchase the core, relocator and thermostat and then supply my own hoses at a later date?

What I am getting at is: are the relocator, fittings on the cooler and thermostat able to take the screw in ends on braided hoses?

very interested.. will hopefully have some money freed up in a couple of months

No worries

Yep, not a problem, they will fit

Does any one have these fitted to their car?

I will def be in as soon as i have cash, thank god for the long time frame gb lol.

Will i need a high volume oil pump because of the relo kit the oil filter will not be next to the block? So will the oil reach the filters no worries if i have the relo kit on the firewall or strut tower for example?

If i was to go for the smaller oil cooler core (polished core) that you posted a pic of will it still cool fine for street applications as i also believe that the other core will be too big for my use and to try and find space in the engine bay for it lol.

Cheers Simon

so if i bought a dual filter relocator, a thermostat, and a oil cooler core, everything that is needed for installation would come with it? or would i need to get hoses made up?

Everything comes that you need to install

Hi Simon,

You wont need a hi flow oil pump(such as N1 etc). As the thermostat stays closed, while its cold and only opens when its hot. so meaning the oil is much thinner when its warm, rather then cold. the stock oil pump fill flow fine - even with it mounted many feet away from the filter base/block it self

just another really simple question (that is probably so simple it's stupid, but it's something that's been bugging me for a while)

when you do an oil change - how do you get the old oil out of the cooler core/lines?

You undo the filter, undo the sump plug, let it drain for ages, then if you want to, undo the fittings on the core and allow whats in there to drain back to the block, and then that will end up going out the sump, if you are really keen on getting every last bit out, undo the core and tip it up - but it doesnt hold enough oil to really justify that IMO

Thanks for that..

sorry to be a pain with all the questions, but does the sandwich plate for the relocator have any bungs in it for sensors (i.e. oil temp and oil pressure sensors)?

i'm just trying to cover all the little things that people seem to want to know about, judging by previous threads :D

Theres nothing wrong with asking questions :D

Can get a plate with gauge inputs if required but they made in Cchina and i dont want them to be included in to the kit as they are prone to cranking and leaking

For the people who have paid - your kits are in the mail as of yesterday, and i know one arrived today at its destination thanks to express post

defintately interested in this. count me in on one within 2 months.

definately.

hip hip hozar for the long gb period!

Subscribe- I have to check my oil cooler kit first (got it last friday but havent opened it up)

More so interested in the thermostat. What size Barbed fittings does it have?

Can it be supplied with a 70-75 deg spring? Or can it be adjusted to open a little earlier?

    • Hi guys, I was in Sydney and encountered an aggressive, sadistic Uber driver which I was the passenger. Should I report him and does uber acutally do anything if I report, I know that Uber mentions that they take dangerous driving seriously etc.... What happened in the car First got into the car, thought nothing of it at first when he honked at an illegally double-parked car blocking traffic. But then, as the ride progressed I noticed that he aggressively honked and tailgated at slower cars despite them being close to the speed limit. Final straw was that he went to harass a Camry and honked at him almost every time the camry slowed down, even leaned on the horn while he was waiting for pedestrians to cross before he was allowed to turn left. Also continously honked and flashed lights while camry was parallel parking. What would you do in the situation as an Uber passenger?   Thanks
    • We can use that against you later.
    • And not one multimeter was frightened in the process!
    • Figured it out. Very suprisingly, both headlight bulbs went out and the rear one went out as well. Which is weird because the rear one didn't look broken. I decided to swap bulbs jsut incase and it was infact broken lol
